We had an enjoyable stay at our condo at Duck Key, Hawks Cay resort. The owner was responsive when we had an issue with one of the toilets leaking.The kitchen amenities were a bit lacking. The pots and pans were a challenge, one frying pan was warped, one of the pots was beyond use, non-stick surface was all chipped off and not useable. We had to use the oven to toast our morning bagels or bread, there was no toaster. We did request a toaster, but one never arrived. The blender was unusable, it leaked out the bottom. The one plastic pitcher was cracked. There were not enough towel racks to hang bath towels on after use. There were only 3 chairs at the dining table inside, yes there were bar stools at the counter but they were not useable by all of our party. There were 4 chairs at the patio table, which we moved one inside to all be able to sit together. The area that was suggested to use for some beach time was a sandy area between buildings that seemed like walking through someone's yard. We did not use it, needless to say.I know this sound like we did not enjoy our stay at the condo, we really did, these are just issues that need to be addressed by the owner.The fireworks from Hawks Cay were right outside our patio, which was very enjoyable.The condo gets a 5* rating, the amenities were a 3*.
