Terrible front desk girl w short hair who kept blocked me from getting my breakfast. God forbid she wait til after I get my tea to finish cleaning. Then when I finally asked her to move she gaslit me and accused me of "having a bad day." I was having an AMAZING trip until that happened!

Don’t Be Fooled!

Don’t be misled by the photos of the lobby, which seems to be the only space that was renovated recently. We were drawn by the cool retro vibe, but that doesn’t translate to the rooms or support spaces. It seems that once the lobby and bathrooms were renovated and the room doors painted, the rehab - and even general maintenance - stopped. The carpet on the exterior walkways is filthy and disintegrating, the laminate flooring in our room was broken and peeling up in places, paint is dinged everywhere, and the interior spaces have a distinct odor of mustiness mixed with cigarette smoke. The staff was friendly enough and the place has potential, but needs a lot of improvement before I’d stay again.

The lvp floors are broken, extremely dirty floors, continously smelled urine and other foul smells in the bed itself. Sheets looked clean. Floor is soft on 2nd level, and cracks and voids in lvp flooring. I wish I could have posted pictures of said room...... would have gone to a different hotel but was told cancelation was non refundable due to expedia which is the search engine i used to find this wreck of a place. Wyndham just 2 buildings down was 100 percent cleaner and overall better. Went to get breakfast and they didn't even have coffee.

This place is really old, and needs updating. The value for the money is terrible! The only reason that we picked this place was because Marquette is so overpriced in every room!

Older motel but worth the stay.

The hotel is older, would like hard floors instead of carpet and updated windows. Didn’t like how dark our room was, kept the front curtains closed so people walking by in the hallway couldn’t see in our room. Definitely appreciated the mini refrigerator. They offer a breakfast but it’s pretty basic of toast, mini muffins, scrambled eggs, cereals, coffee and juice. This hotel is wonderful for the price you pay, it’s close to stores and a 6 min drive to Lake Superior.
