Riad douceur is an elegant guest house in the heart of Marrakech's medina. It comprises 4 bedrooms, including the Carnet de Voyage suite, a douiria with 2 bedrooms, lounge and private terraces, a heated swimming pool on the terrace, a calm and secluded area that is exceptional in Marrakech, a wellness area with traditional hammam and massage room, patio lounges and superb rooftop terraces overlooking the Marrakech medina.



The Space:

After crossing the loggia, you come to the private salon adjoining the Carnet de Voyage suite, and finally the bedroom. It is decorated with delightful sketches and watercolours of horsemen, fantasias and beautiful odalisques that illustrated Eugène Delacroix's travel diaries of Morocco.



The late 19th century mother-of-pearl inlaid frames come from Damascus (Syria). This is a suite of rare refinement.

The bathroom has a double sink and a bath set in a tadelakt alcove... Romanticism guaranteed!



The Carnet de voyage suite and its loggia, together with the nearby Mogador suite, make a perfect combination for a group of 4 people.

The terraces are a mythical place for relaxation. The lounges, under the pergola or near the bougainvilleas, allow you to forget everything while listening to the muffled sounds of the medina and the call of the muezzin at prayer time. You can choose to enjoy an aperitif under the stars or a candlelit dinner with friends or just the two of you.



Unique to the medina is the superb swimming pool on the terrace. Bathed in sunlight, the pool allows you to swim in complete privacy away from prying eyes. The pool is heated from spring to autumn and misted in summer. The swimming pool is equipped with a counter-current system, so that even the most athletic swimmers can cover long distances. You may share the pool with up to 4 people who have rented the douiria (small 2-bedroom house attached to the riad).

The only place to share is the pool; everything else, including the patios, lounges, bedrooms and terraces, is private.



The staff are attentive to your comfort throughout your stay. They will welcome you in French, English, Spanish or Arabic. Our housekeeper, or butlers, will tell you all about the places and sites to discover in Marrakech and the best places to go shopping in the souks or in Gueliz, the modern city.



On request, our chef will prepare a variety of Moroccan tajines and pastries, using local vegetables and Moroccan spices.

Moroccan, French, vegetarian... the choice is yours. Market purchases are made daily and we offer cookery lessons if you wish.



The riad Douceur has a hammam and a massage room for all kinds of beauty and well-being treatments. In addition to the hammam treatments, our beautician offers a wide range of well-being treatments: facials, manicures, pedicures and all types of massage...
