We can't wait to welcome your group to Shea Farmhouse!
Our time in Vinton County was nothing short of fabulous. The Shea Farmhouse was lovely. Perfect size, ample amount of room for myself and 2 teenagers. The kitchen was well equipped for vacation. While we are very used to old homes, some may need to know before you go in order to have a happy stay like we did.Pros: *The property was so lovely, loads of green space for baggo/corn toss, running around, walking, bird watching, enjoying the light show of fireflies, nightly orchestral music provided by crickets, bullfrogs and whip-poor-wills. *The fire pit was right next to the house with great size and chairs - so nice*Bedding was so incredibly soft, clean and just the right warmth without weight. Also the throw blankets were so soft. Ample and very clean.*The house is âcloseâ to many things we wanted to do (close in Hocking Hills is a 20-30 min drive average). Suggestions for house:Kitchen: * a cookie sheet for reheating leftovers*Ice maker or ice cube trays in the fridge - although the countertop icemaker made the best slushy ice cubes the output was quite small for the size of house. *More than one coffee cup would be nice.*Be Vigilant on your cleanliness. The outside will come in if you leave out any food. We put EVERYTHING in the fridge. Youâd be shocked how quickly they sense food of any type. We even put our garbage in the freezer.Bath: A window covering that is a little more private, so that those at the fire pit do not have a view.
