This neighborhood has a great combination of young people, as well as people who've been living here for over 30 or 40 years.
Getting Around: Uber and Lyft is recommended. Public transportation and taxis are highly discouraged.
Other Things to Note: Fedex is headquartered just 5 miles down the road and planes can be heard going over head every few minutes at specific 20-30 minute periods at specific times during the day or night. It is common almost anywhere in Memphis to hear and see the parade of planes coming through. Please try to enjoy the Memphis Charm :)

I stayed here with my dad. The place was very comfortable and worked great for us. The location is in a nice neiborhood with many things to do not too far away. We enjoyed the back yard and the weather was great for sitting out back and listening to the birds sing. I would recomd this place.
We were so please with that charming little home. I felt as though we were home. Everything was fantastic and i loved the fenced in backyard and decks. We had a great time in Memphis but we were glad to be back at the home sitting out on the deck. We will definitely recommend it as a choice place to stay we will definitely use this rental again.
Cute little house with a large fenced in yard for our dog to enjoy. Nice neighborhood to walk and short walk to many restuarants. There is definitely a problem with the cleaning of the house. All the windows and window sills were filthy. The floor through out the house was sticky, the kitchen looked like someone did a quick job of cleaning it.
The pluses: The house is close to several good restaurants, with The Fresh Market very close by. The deck was lovely, the queen-sized bed was comfortable (we didn't try the other beds, so can't comment) and the jetted tub was fun. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished. The backyard is fenced securely enough for a big dog to run free, but there are many places for a little dog to get into trouble (e.g., under the deck) or slip out. All the appliances we used worked great and the kitchen is adequately stocked, although more glasses, plates, and flatware would have been helpful. The air traffic overhead was noisy, but nowhere near loud enough to interrupt conversation, even outside.Minuses: The electrical has not been updated so many/most of the outlets were loose, which made it challenging to charge our electronics. The house is a little shabbier on the outside than shown in the pictures, with some loose bricks in the walkway, yet still charming. But there were definite cleanliness issues: the windows and windowsills were very dirty, as were the storm doors. I kinda freaked out when I found a dead cockroach by the master bedroom closet, and our terrier went crazy every late afternoon/evening because a rodent has apparently taken up residence in the jetted tub surround. I called and messaged the owner about the latter issue, which he acknowledged a few days later but nothing was done about it during our nine-day stay.
