Shepherds Retreat - 2 miles to I-65

The Shepherd's Retreat is one of 4 rentals offered by Green Pastures Getaways. This is one of the most beautiful places you'll find! The views are breathtaking. The spaces are awesome. The décor is unique and antiques are everywhere. And the pastures are green and beautiful! There's a lot to enjoy around the property and you're welcome to roam around. There are multiple porches, a gorgeous live edge pool, lush vegetation, several great places to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors. There is a fire pit and it's easy to get a fire started on a cool evening.

We'd like to welcome you to "Green Pastures". This is been our "dream property" for the last 20 years as we've passed by it almost every day. We became friends with the previous owners many years ago and amazingly, now it's ours! We're looking forward to sharing it with you!

There is a fire pit and it's easy to grab some sticks and get a fire started on a cool evening. Star gazing is amazing as is looking at a gorgeous moon.
It's not uncommon to see deer and turkeys roaming the pasture, owls and hawks fly by and squirrels chasing each other around. All types of birds make regular visits to the feeders around the property. Our property consists of 32 acres, main house, guest house, pool, 2 ponds and pasture. This is a very private property yet only 5 minutes to I-65.
The spaces are filled with lots of antiques, beautiful art (for sale) and lots of unique items. From the time you arrive until the time you leave, you'll be relaxed, inspired and wishing your stay had been longer.

The Master suite is the most luxurious. This suite is configured with a king size bed with a luxurious mattress. The bathroom is incredible!!! It contains a custom double vanity, a large jetted tub and one of the coolest showers that you've ever bathed in with lights, dual shower heads, etc. This suite opens out to a unique outdoor room with a day bed, hanging swing, vines growing around the entire space, a ceiling fan to keep you cool and lots of plants and flowers. The views from this space are awesome and it is just a few steps away from the pool!
This second suite is configured with a beautiful iron queen size bed. The full bathroom has a shower and gorgeous vanity. This suite also opens out to a unique outdoor room with a day bed, hanging swing, vines growing around the entire space, a ceiling fan to keep you cool and lots of plants and flowers. The views from this space are awesome and it is just a few steps away from the pool!
The kitchen and living areas are incredible! Soaring wood plank ceilings, wide plank floors, huge brick fireplace in the center of the room and much more make this one of the most unique homes you'll find. The kitchen is gorgeous and has everything you need to prepare some wonderful meals. There is a breakfast bar that seats 3 and a dining table that seats 4. There is a huge window allowing you to view the beautiful green pastures right from the living room! There is a 65 inch TV to enjoy the big games or a favorite movie.
If you need more space, there are options! There is a separate guest house on the property that can accommodate 3 guests. There are other spaces we have that are less than half a mile away. Just inquire about these options and I'll be glad to give you all the details.

Guests will have access to the pool and outdoor spaces.

We spend a lot of time here at Green Pastures and are typically on site on a daily, basis. There is a lot of property to maintain, grass to cut, pool to maintain, etc. so you'll see us around. If we're not here, we're usually close by and always only a call or text away.

If you're not familiar with the Montevallo/ Calera / Alabaster / Columbiana / Pelham area just let us know and we'll be glad to make some suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc. We've put together a list of our favorite spots and that list is included and is also available online.

There is a separate guest house on the property that we rent as well so there could be up to 3 other guests staying there. This is also a good option if you have a larger group needing accommodations.
