Best place to stay in Munich!

Ghotel is located right in the heart of Munich, a short walk from the Deutches Museum, the English Gardens, Marienplatz, and the rest of central Munich. There is a U station just paces away from the front door that makes getting all over Munich very easy! The rooms are very good for the price paid, and come with a kitchenette. Breakfast is extra, but a great value. There is a cathedral across the street, so bells do toll in the mornings, especially on Sunday.

Very Nice hotel

Very helpful staff and great parking! The staff spoke perfect English and was prepared to answer any questions we had. I had email contact with them prior to our stay and they were prompt and polite.

Nice hotel, excellent location, value for money!

Good, clean hotel, with complementary water and jelly frogs.. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, it was ell priced and the value for money was outstanding. Only issue was that they don't have Air Conditioning, which wouldn't normally be an issue except it was unseasonably hot when I was there.

Not the place if the weather is hot.

The weather was terribly hot while we were in Munich. There was no air conditioning or fans to cool the room. Fortunately, we were on the top floor and able to get a breeze over night.

This place is ok value, just make sure you understand the breakfast may not be included when you book on hotels.com. One complaint: The internet was very slow - next too unusable. But this seems to depend much on where you stay inside the hotel though.

Decent hotel, great location, staff very friendly. Don't get the single room, as it's a bit too small and not that comfortable. Saw one of the other rooms though and they were nice.

Great location, great Price, very nice facilities.

it is a very nice hotel perfectly located two blocks from metro station and walking distance from Marienzplatz and Viktualienmarkt. The Price was excellent, it was perfectly clean and the breakfast (not included) was very complete and tasty. Great for business, Friends or couples... probably not for big families. It is also good for long stays as it has a kitchenette in the room and a big closet.

Spartan room, loud church bells

Friendly staff, but the hotel is totally overpriced given the spartan condition of the room and bathroom. Very good breakfast buffet for an extra 12 euros. The hotel is right next to a church whose bells start ringing at 6am, every fifteen minutes. There are better options in Munich.

Great location and value for money

Great location. A short walk (2 minutes) from Fraunhoferstr Metro stop. Also a short walk the Gartnerplatz and to the permanent Viktualienmarkt with some great boutiques along the way. The food at the market is brilliant. Also located close to Munich's main gay bar. We traveled in December and the Munich markets were the best we visited in Germany - just around the corner from the Viktualienmarkt. Try the restaurant in the Rathaus for some wholesome German food. Aside from its location, the hotel room was good, the size was pretty standard for Europe (which is generally on the smaller size) but the storage space more than made up for the limited floor space.

Very little sleep!

I read some reviews about the noise of the bells beside the hotel but normally am an ok sleeper so thought it would be fine. How wrong was I!? The bells are so loud, go on for a long time, start at 6am and ring every 15 mins. Hotel itself is fine but very basic. In a nice area.

Nice hotel in great neighborhood

Convenient hotel in Munich

Although the hotel is not in city center, the transportation (U-bahn) is very fast to get there. The area is quiet but safe, you could have a sweet dream in the room. It is very convenient to go every attractions by U-bahn or walk, like Deutsches Museum, Central Station, Marienplatz.

Great Value and always a reliable choice

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times. They have always been friendly and efficient and always spoken perfect English – Thanks! It’s a 3 minute walk to the nearest U-Bahn, which is 2 stops from the central station. The Museum is a 10 minute stroll, with the Victoria Market just a little further away. Rooms are fairly basic and the beds a little small, but everything works and is of decent quality. Neighbourhood is fairly quiet, but there are many places to eat and drink within a 5 minute walk.

Easy metro to center of town

The hotel is perfectly comfortable and an easy two stops away from the central station. the neighborhood is local and safe with restaurants in walking distance.

Good location in Munich

Pros: 20 min walk to city center, u station on the same block. Don't miss the vitualmarket. Located 1 block from river for nice strolls. Very quiet only because it was comfortable to close the windows at night, loved the church bells. Comfy clean room. Being from Califonia it was fun to stop by the Buritto Company on our last day to have an excellent buritto and a nice visit with the server, also there is liquor store directly next door to pick up beers for the room. Breakfast adequate, served in a very nice room. Cons: no air conditioning, but not a problem for us. No hot water the first night, was fixed about midnight. The shower drain was very, very slow and caused minor problems, but not enough to change room. Never found any English tv stations, even BBC. Expensive for Octoberfest, but that was expected.
