Vintage authentic 1945 Log House nestled among Ÿ acre woods. Overlooking Lake Michigan with 65 wood stairs to 80' frontage private sandy beach. Four bedroom, three and half bath year-round home sleeps eight. Two bedrooms main floor, two bedrooms upstairs. Main floor master bedroom offers king size bed with private full bath, bathtub/shower.

Main floor guest bedroom offers queen bed with private full bath, bathtub/shower. Upstairs bedroom with two twin beds second bedroom offers queen bed. Unique 12 foot open railing bridge connects two bedrooms upstairs. Bridge overlooks entire living space below. Large open floor plan with wood burning fireplace in living room. Bath with rain shower off living room. Galley Kitchen, Half bath off kitchen with drinking fountain. Natural pine wood floors throughout. Entire house exposed pine log and cedar panel. Bathrooms with slate and tile floors.

Unfinished open basement with second fireplace. Washer and dryer laundry room in basement.

Enjoy large private lawn with group seating. Back yard firepit on bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. Assorted patio furniture, chaise lounge, variety of seating, Bonfires, roasting marshmallows, singing campfire songs. As we were looking for a Lake Michigan property, we came across this log cabin. Something about it just attracted us to it. We were not disappointed! From driving down the winding, wooded drive to going into the spacious log cabin; we all fell in love with it. We appreciated the many sitting spaces and enjoyed looking at all the unique decor. We spent a lot of time on the covered back porch. It was a relaxing place to hear the waves, talk, have our coffee, and feel the cool breeze. A nice surprise for the teens was the game room in the basement. The house has lots of shelf and counter space to work and display snacks. We were a little concerned about not having air conditioning, but there was always a breeze and the nights cooled down. We had many campfires around the fire pit. The backyard is huge with many sitting areas and is a great place to see the beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the closeness of the Red Rooster Tavern, and walked there several times for meals. The beach was the best! The owners provide everything needed for an afternoon in the sun. The owner always responded within minutes to any text we sent. We made some wonderful memories here.

So relaxing!

Weather was chilly at first, but last couple days were excellent! Had a fire every night and one on beach last night there. Beach area is so nice and my 1-year-old grandson enjoyed playing in the sand. We used the kayaks also. House was well stocked and beds were all comfortable. Would highly recommend! 69 steps to beach.

Always Excellent and Wonderful

We returned to this vacation home after a couple of years and I’m so glad we did. The setting is beautiful, the house well cared for and appointed, and we were blessed with glorious weather. This is one of favorite places to stay, lots of space, lots of privacy if you need it. The kitchen has everything you need and everything works.We come with our family, all adults, and one very good boy. The private beach is easily accessible, although it’s a lot of stairs. The beach has tons of beach chairs and tables. Kayaks if you’re interested. I can’t say enough good things about this vacation home. The hosts are excellent and appropriately attentive and they continue to upgrade the property and amenities. It’s our favorite place to stay in western Michigan and would highly recommend this rental.

Love this cabin!!!

We, all 8 of us, loved our stay here. Third year in a row for our siblings winter birthday get-together and we have had a fantastic time each year. Beautiful, comfortable cabin with fantastic sunset views.Love it, Love it, Love it! Feels like home now.

The epitome of beautiful lakeside cabins

Great location! Easy to get to, but also semi-private. Gorgeous 1930’s log cabin home that retains plenty of its original charm with many modern amenities and comforts! We just completed our third consecutive rental of this cabin for the third consecutive year. We are college roommates and friends that get together annually in midwinter. Barb is an excellent, easy to reach and accommodating host. So kind and so responsive if you have questions before, during or after your stay. We hope to continue re ting for years to come and we appreciate Barb and family making their beautiful home available to us! 5 stars for sure! Thank you!

Cabin with a view!

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Right above the beach with a gorgeous view of lake Michigan. My wife and I started the week just the two of us and added a couple of kids and grandkids throughout the week. Family Getaway

We loved our stay! This property is so well appointed; they’ve thought of everything. Lots of dishes and stocked kitchen so we had fun preparing meals and eating together at the large dining room table overlooking the lake. Kayaks and paddle boards were a nice addition for impromptu voyage into the lake. Great for bonfires. Steps to upstairs are a little tricky to navigate for older family members and pets.

Spectacular!

This property was outstanding! It absolutely met our needs for a family vacation. The house was super clean and was well stocked with pantry items, towels for bath and beach, beach activities, and more. My first view of Lake Michigan as I rounded the side of the house literally took my breath away. Our group was all over 70 years old, so the stairs to the beach were a little daunting, but most of us managed at least one or two trips down them. I truly did not want to leave at week’s end! Barb was so nice to work with and very quick to respond. The Red Rooster Tavern close by was fun for lunch, dinner, or just a cold beer. I would totally rent this place again and hope to go back soon. Grocery was easy access about 15 minutes away and we also went up to the White Lake Light Station
a lovely old lighthouse and museum.

Charming!

We loved the character of this historic cabin. It is clearly cared for with pride + TLC. The beautiful beach is the main attraction, but we spent lots of time admiring the details of the cabin inside + out
it’s very special! So happy to have found a dog-friendly spot along the shores of Lake Michigan. We definitely hope to be back!

This house is gorgeous with spectacular views, tons to do for the kids and adults in the house and yard as well as on the beach and in the water. Stunning views of the lake and sunsets, even caught view of a rainbow as the thunderstorm came in to shore. Barb was very kind and quick with responses. The house is clean and well cared for with the normal oddities of an older house/cabin. Everyone in my family had an amazing stay!

We like this area, so looked for a house last minute this year. The house was better than the pics! Really neat/fun house
we really enjoyed our stay! The beach is huge and the highlight, with kayaks, umbrellas, tables, etc. Also a great view of the water from the house..and shaded backyard to hangout. Barb very responsive to help! Great family week!

This is our 4th time staying here. It is a wonderful location. There are only 70 steps to the beach. Very private. All you need is provided. When there was an issue it was dealt with promptly. We will be staying there again

Perfect Beach Cabin

Everything about this place is awesome!!! Great yard with a fire pit and large private beach. The cabin is super clean, with nice comfy beds. The kitchen is well stocked. You won’t be disappointed staying here. It was absolutely perfect for our family!!

Another fantastic vacation at a true vintage gem! We loved the superbly stocked house, enjoyed the sipping-hummingbird porch, lazed on the private beach that had great chairs and fun boats to use! The owners of this place have thought of every detail- beach towels, good kitchen stuff, outdoor dog bowls, etc. We cannot wait to spend another week here next summer- it's just a magic place.

Great family vacation

Michigan is our go to family vacation spot. Each year we are renting different home in different location and this one did not disappointed. Fantastic location with beautiful private beach. House is very charming, clean and has plenty of siting areas indoor and outdoor. Several special touches like hummingbird feeders with tons of little visitors, hammock overlooking the Lake Michigan, playhouse for kids, fire pit on the beach and on the backyard, kayaks and more. We love our stay 😍Everyone was happy didn’t want to go back home. Thank you!

Beautiful Michigan Get-Away

This was our 4th stay at this beautiful & charming cabin. The inside has great character with all its unique touches and features. Not to be outdone the outside offers beauty & charm with amazing landscaping, fire pit, play features for the kids. We had three adults & three fur babies who absolutely loved the beach. The dogs played on the beach they were exhausted! Sunsets are amazing. Barb (host) is very accommodating and is always available to answer any question you may have. She has always made our vacation care free and has been very accommodating. This cabin will not disappoint. Plenty of activities inside for both adults & kids. The basement is filled with games, such as ice hockey, foosball, mini pool table & more. Highly recommend this charming cabin.
