Cottage close to Town
The cabin is a sweet space to unplug and reconnect with those you love. Originally built in 1790 this cabin was once the beloved home of James Rankin a revolutionary war veteran. Set up like a studio apartment, you have a kitchenette and open floor space concept. Itâs located on 5 acre shared lot with creek access and fire pit. Here at the cabin you get the best of both worlds a COUNTRY-LIKE retreat but are also conveniently close to town. Just a 5 minute drive to the nearest grocery and shopping center and only 20 minute from downtown Nashville. Explore all the local music, shopping and festivals or come here to unplug and unwind. Love this property but its booked, or have more than 2 guests, check out its sister property here https://www.vrbo.com/3470319?unitId=4043450
Went to see the Dolly musical, so this was an absolutely perfect âTN mountain homeâ! Legit size coffee pot (which was amazing) toiletries etc .everything you need. There was a seclusion feeling and we had a lovely time sitting under the shade trees in the back. Wonderful accommodations!!
Perfect spot for a weekend away. Quiet and relaxed. Cabin had all we needed for minimal cooking and eating in, but plenty of great eat out options nearby as well. So charming and took us back in time. Would definitely stay here again, cool to check it out in fall or winter, too.
Very nice and beautiful place. Amanda the owner greeted us very nice and helpful. Told us about a place to swim that was very nice park not to far of a drive. If ever get back that way would most definitely stay there again. And the bell works..
Exactly as stated, old cabin with modern touches. Short walk to the creek. No road or traffic noise when inside the cabin. I would stay here again definitely!
The cabin was very clean and cozy , it sits on beautiful property with a creek in the back. The road in the front was quite busy but didn't affect the peacefulness of our stay. The bed is a double so was pretty tight for two adults used to a king size bed. That's truly the only negative thing I can think to say, absolute five star experience.
Nice lil place to stay Summer or Winter. The cabin even has a sho-nuff real fireplace too. Oh, it woukd be great to stay there during a winter storm. The shower water was nice n' hot and the bed was clean, comfy, and cozy.
We were visiting family in Hendersonville. This cottage was perfect!! We were able to stay in a historic building and enjoy the charming atmosphere and we were only minutes away from the family. The cottage has an assortment of Hanes and plenty of fluffy towels and was just charming!!
With only a few fixes this would be a great little cabin. The door knob is very old and while it looks neat it is very hard to operate to get in the cabin as well as lock it while leaving. The cabin is very small which we knew but it had a table and chairs for 4 people with only one straight back chair in a corner to relax in. A small 2 chair bistro set and a larger comfy chair would make it more comfortable and a toaster would be nice. Also parking was in the grass and it was a very rainy time while we were there so very muddy. A couple gravel tracks to park on would be great. For the price we are not complaining just 20 min. from downtown and a unique place. We met the host as we were early for check-in and she was gracious and friendly.
We cannot thank you enough for your hospitality that you show at your cabins. It has everything you need to make it a quiet, peaceful, enjoyable visit.
I loved it there. I showed up before check-in because I didn't get a notification with info on how to get in the door, but she was there when I arrived and I'm sure Amanda has corrected the problem by now. I stayed in Feb and kept cozy warm with the wall and extra space heater, even the floor was brick. Other than that I loved the place.
