Historic Ranger Station in the heart of Nemo, SD

Completely remodeled historic National Forest Ranger Station in Nemo, SD. We are in the heart of the Black Hills and close to all attractions. Covered Porch off front of cabin overlooks Nemo Mountain and valley. The cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, two twin beds in the loft and a queen size fold out couch and one bathroom with combo tub and shower. Hike, Bike or Ride your Motorcyle and/or ATV/UTV from the front door. The National forest is your backyard. The cabin is situated on 7 acres within a short walk to the Nemo Guest Ranch. Fully equipped kitchen with appliances. All linens are provided.

This little place is the best! Everything is so nice, it felt like we were the first ones to stay there. It’s so clean, so cozy, the decor is adorable, everything is good quality. The towels are fluffy, nice silverware, nice pans & dishes. Nice appliances & faucets. The front porch is a great addition. Phone chargers & fans in every sleeping space. Wonderful property. Highly recommend it. We took our dog. So nice to have a pet friendly option in the hills. He loved the meadow next to the cabin. Wendy provides everything you could need including super soft towels and comfy beds!

Private cabin with the forest as a backyard. The location was perfect for us for hiking along the creek and relaxing on the front deck. Beautiful view and lots of deer and blue birds! Host was very responsive to questions.

What an amazing property! We stayed for three nights for an ATVing trip in the hills. The property is SUPER close to the centenial trailhead and just blocks away from the ATV rental area. It made for a perfect location for our trip. The cabin was perfect. The kichen was stocked with everything you might need. The porch was an amazing place to relax in the evenings. We used the fire pit and enjoyed smores and stargazing. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom even had extra toiletry items in case you forgot anything. The location was beautiful, and we thouroughly enjoyed our time here. We are already talking about coming back next year. If you are wondering if you should book this place, the answer is YES.

Slice of Black Hills heaven

This property had everything we needed. Good space for three adults, beautiful views, and all the amenities. Perfectly located between Rapid City, Deadwood, and Sturgis. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

Quiet and Secluded

We had 3 awesome nights to hang out at the cabin. We packed so much into our days that it was so nice and comfortable to come back to and kick our feet up at night. The views were outstanding. We had visits from the local doe and her fawn, a coyote pup one night, and breakfast with the birds outback. Super neat to see what the ranger station used to look like before they upgraded it. We would love to come back someday!

Very nice. No troubles with the site. Everything worked save the DVD! Neighbors are noisy sometimes but you can't control that! Great porch to watch a thunderstorm. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Loved this cabin! Was exactly as described, and the owner was very helpful and communicative. My favorite part about this cabin is the spacious porch where we spent evenings enjoying the scenery of beautiful Nemo! Also, we very much appreciated how stocked the cabin is - it has everything you need!

The cabin was well stocked and furnished. It was located in a great location, quiet and private. Lots of activities to do such as the many trails for riding and other activities such as visiting Deadwood and Custer State Park. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

We had a fabulous stay at the property. We were there to watch and help our son run the Black Hills 100 ultramarathon. It was in the perfect spot! Everything was just as listed, and very comfortable! Thanks again for a great place to stay!
