The Beach House has a huge 2nd story outdoor deck off Family Room with gas BBQ, natural wood Fire Pit, Lovely patio furniture including casual table with 8 chairs, and umbrella for your family to dine outside while taking in the amazing 180 degree Ocean Views.
The Beach House is located on No. The Strand/ Beach,( Between Oceanside Pier and Harbor) One house back from the sand, for privacy, and just 150 ft. easy walk out to the sand! Tower 7Volleyball, BBQs, Tables on the beach, Public Restrooms built recently built. , BH recently refurbished and (Sleeps 8 Comfortably)
The home is situated with a Master suite downstairs with NEW Queen 14" cool Memory bed with ensuite Full Shower with Moen w/ handheld. The Master has a Private Entrance for convenience/added privacy. Bedroom # 2 also downstairs has a queen Westin 16" Heavenly Pillow-top Mattress bed and Bath#2, Full bath ensuite, with Bathtub/shower Combination. Downstairs, Living Room closes and is private has NEW cozy Queen Sofa Sleeper w/ New 2021 Gel/Memory temper mattress, fireplace, flat screen TV. Door closes to make living room private.
Upstairs Family Room/ 3rd bedroom has 2 Qn. Sofa Sleepers both w/ Memory mattresses Upstairs has ensuite Bath #3 with shower/bath combo and Laundry Room for use during your stay.

Mary's Beach House is ideally located one block from the sand. It was very easy to walk everywhere - the pier, the harbor, and downtown for the Night Market. Mary timely responded to our questions and in fact sent new beach chairs and a case of water for our use. She informed us of dog-friendly restaurants as well. The rooftop deck is great - for coffee in the morning and happy hour in the evening. The home was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved our first stay in Oceanside - it's an awesome little beach community. We hope to come back one day.

Great location! wonderful rooftop patio area for great views, family meals/barbeque, relaxation. Parking on site for 3 vehicles which is so hard to find in this great location. Plenty of room for all, plenty of supplies including all you need for the beach. Communication with owner is fast and pleasant. We are a repeat renter and this is by far one of our favorites. Pet friendly, close to beach access while having privacy, security, safety.

The absolute BEST vacation rental. Plenty of beach, parking, everything you could ask for...Boys went to the beach at 8 am, set up awnings and chairs, girls brought coolers down in wagon. Looooong days on the beach.Mary May was fantastic. Responded quickly and always friendly and helpful. We could not have had a better trip O'side rocks!

We had a fantastic stay at this beachfront home! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the sand—and it delivers a peaceful, toes-in-the-sand beach experience. The upper deck was a highlight, where you can watch waves break and feel the ocean breeze. Whether it was coffee, drinks, or games by the fire pit, it was a great spot to relax and see the view.The home is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. From kitchen essentials to beach gear, bikes, and games, all we needed was there. We spent most of our time upstairs, set for gathering. It has a BBQ, full bathroom, mini fridge, and space to relax, eat, and enjoy the view.We loved the location off The Strand. While The Strand is lively with foot, bike, and vehicle traffic, this home is tucked 50 feet back in a quiet alley, offering privacy and a buffer from activity—ideal for us.The beach proximity is perfect—you can grab the cart, umbrellas, and chairs and be set up in under two minutes. We picked our spot daily, set up, and could come and go. We chose a spot in view of the deck to watch it from the house.The downstairs space worked great for sleeping, getting ready, and prepping meals. The layout supports a beach-centered vacation—quiet downstairs, fun and views upstairs.Check-in was easy, and the owner was great with communication. It’s clear they made the home welcoming and guest-ready.We’re eager to return and recommend this property for a laid-back, beachfront getaway with home comforts.

Easy to access. Very clean for the most part, although we had to deal with annoying drain flies in the kitchen and common area, and there was a roach in the bathtub. Although a bit cluttered, we enjoyed all of the beach gear, Games, and extra amenities. Ample parking (rare for beach homes). Plenty of linens and towels, and free washer and dryer on sight so you can pack light!s

Everything We Could Possibly Need

We have stayed at many properties, both in and outside of the United States, and this was the best experience with the owner going out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and more. Regrettably the weather did not cooperate or it would have been the perfect trip. But that even demonstrated the forethought in having the umbrellas, chairs -- just everything we needed to be able to enjoy the soccer games despite some rain and cold weather. The house is nicely decorated, with a well stocked kitchen, just a few minutes walk from the water. The highlight for us was the roof patio, with a great fire pit and superb views. The roof patio and sitting room on the second floor was a great place for our granddaughter and her teammates to talk and play games.

The best

It started with communication with Mary May. She is very responsive to concerns and questions. I felt that she wanted our stay to be the best possible, ever. If felt great to have that kind of attention, and then the house was in perfect position to use the beach. The upper deck was perfect for the afternoons when it warmed up. Beds were extremely comfortable.I would definitely go back to this place in the future.

Mary and the property are amazing. Everything is a described. Rooftop makes this place beyond 5 star! We so appreciated Mary and her immediate communication. We have already booked to return.

Great place with everything you'll need

My husband and I stayed at Mary's in March to celebrate his birthday. Being from SoCal originally, we wanted a place where we could entertain our relatives and friends but also be near all the action of Oceanside. The area is very walkable and you can easily do a lot without a vehicle. The beach is steps away but the great thing about Mary's place is, you are not right on the Strand but just a street over. I would definitely stay again.

Property was amazing and looked exactly like the photos. It felt like a home away from home. Mary the owner was amazing and very accommodating. The rooftop was my favorite place with the fire pit and sunset. Will definitely be back!

Awesome Family Thanksgiving

The beach house was absolutely lovely. Had beautiful views of the beach from the large deck on 2nd level. So relaxing and peaceful at night, just gathering around the fire pit talking. Everyone had a great time ! The owner was very accommodating and nice....good communication. i would definitely rent again.

Great get-away spot

The property manager couldn't have been more accommodating, helpful and easy to work with. The upstairs deck is the star of this property, many evenings outside with a nice fire, dinner prepared on the grill and the sounds of the ocean. For those sensitive to scented products, I advise you let the manager know in advance/request various candles/plug in fresheners be removed. ( I booked very last minute and so the manager had no opportunity to do so) Overall, it is lovely space, easy access to the beach (though limited views from the deck), and I will definitely be returning.

Booked for family get away. Mary was able to accommodate my party of 10. 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms. Nice living room with sofa bed. Upstairs loft with 2 sofa beds private bathroom mini fridge small bar top dining table and a laundry room and entrance to patio deck. Home has every amenity you can possibly need from beach necessities to family games and all cooking utensils. The deck views are amazing. Top notch bbq grill. Fire pit was awesome. 3 minute walk to the beach. Location location location. The host Mary is so kind and thoughtful. Check in and out process is super easy. Enjoy this gem of a place in the fabulous City of Oceanside. Can’t wait to book again

Perfect location for a family vacation

One of our favorite vacation spots. Beautiful Strand beach is less than a minute walk. Plenty to see and do all within walking distance. Legoland is very close. The house provides everything you need for a fun family beach vacation. Rooftop deck is a perfect place to hang out!
