Our experience was a bit bumpy at Tidey Whitey. We had several issues which I will quickly outline here and we were not completely satisfied with the management's response.
-arrived to a broken dryer - staff told us to not use it, and rudely suggested they had enough towels provided for the entire week (2 towels per person is hardly enough at the beach!). They managed to fix it several days in, still made a lot of noise but was better.
-not enough silverware - like 8 sets - house advertises as sleeping 14 and should be able to set a table for 14.
-no wine glasses at all - staff ended up providing some toward end of stay.
-no comforters on beds, only a sheet and a quilt
-quilts on bed looked dirty as if they're not washed between guests
-the house smelled faintly of cigarettes - especially the guest house over the garage, and the master bedroom.
Also important to note that this house provides no beach towels and very rusty beach chairs. Walton County does not allow beach chair set ups at public beach access like this one, so be prepared to haul your own chairs and umbrellas to the beach.
The house is well located and was comfortable for my parents, and 3 adult children plus partners and grandchildren. However, I wouldn't book this house again because of the overall experience we had.

At Last We Are Together
After being apart for two years because of COVID, we were able to enjoy family time! We celebrated birthdays, and a very special 50th wedding anniversary. We loved the hot tub and spent many hours hanging out there. The grill made it easy to feed my large family. We had stayed at Sands twice. The neighborhood is very clean, and safe!

Greatest place EVER for a large family
We thouroughly enjoyed our time at the Tidey Whitey! My wife and I, our 4 adult children and their spouses, and 5 grandchildren. A stunning beach was just a few hundred yard walk but we spent most of our time in the pool and hot tub. As owners of a couple of vacation rentals ourselves, we really appreciated all of the details and attentiveness! The carriage cottage was perfect for allowing Nana and Pops some quiet time. HIGHLY RECOMMEMD!!

The Perfect Escape
The house and property were pristine! It was the perfect experience for my family!!! The pool and hot tub were perfect on the colder days and the walk to the beach took 2 minutes. Everything you could ask for and more!!!
