I received a WhatsApp message from the property on the day of my arrival, which has conveniently been deleted, stating that the property didn't have a room available. I didn't see the message until I arrived at the property, but it had asked me to go to another property that cost less, had a less ideal location, and lower reviews. At arrival, they then put my friend and I in a room with one bed that was tiny, *absolutely disgusting*, and was not in the main building. The manager, without prompting, offered to refund this night, which I politely accepted. The next day, we got moved to the correct room, but it did not have any hot water for a shower, so we got moved AGAIN, to another lower quality room without a balcony. One out of the two beds was rock hard so my friend and I ended up having to share a bed. Several days after my stay no refund was issued so I reached out to Hotels.com and the property denied the refund and deleted their WhatsApp message. I've never left a bad review or complained to any service provider before, but this was a terrible experience.

The hotel was basic in facilities but it was clean and the owners friendly. It is close to the beach so a swim before breakfast is a must. 10 minute walk to the historical part of Paraty where there are many good restaurants and tasteful shops.

Good for your money

It was fine for the $50 cad/night. Clean. The staff was friendly, there was a breakfast. Location was good and central. It is a noisy building that was the only drawback

O ponto alto dessa pousada é a localização, ao lado do centro histórico e do cais de ontem partem excelentes passeios. Os quartos são confortáveis e limpos, e atendem bem a proposta de passear durante o dia e voltar à tarde e estar próximo à excelentes pontos para jantar, lanchar e passeios noturnos no centro histórico.

O hotel é super bem localizado, além de otimo atendimento. O quarto supre sua condição, visto ser econômico, contudo pela configuração do quarto o ar-condicionado não aguenta para poder gelar, sendo que tivemos que dormir com o ar, o ventilador de teto e o ventilador de piso, em razão do calor de paraty. Contudo, são muito bem organizados e solicitos em razão dos contratempos que tivemos.

LOCALIZAÇÃO: O lugar é muito bem localizado, em frente a praia do pontal (que não é uma praia muito bem recomendada para banho) mas que tem quiosques legais. Tbm fica muito perto do centro histórico com a vantagem que é a parte que dá para andar de carro e é mais silencioso que o centro. FUNCIONÁRIOS: Equipe ótima, nada a reclamar CAFÉ: Pouca variedade, e baixa qualidade e servido entre 8h e 10h. Pra quem espera um bom café da manhã não recomendo. ESTADIA/QUARTO: Aqui o pior ponto da pousada. Quarto com pisos soltando, roupas de cama bem simples e gastas, chuveiro, vaso sanitário e chuveirinho sem pressão na água, tv não funciona direito. No geral precisam de uma reforma básica que já melhorariam muito estes aspectos.
