The hotel is basic. The rooms don’t look anything like the pictures. the breakfast is chaotic. The reception staff were helpful. Saying all that. If you are on a budget it works. It’s very close to the Metro, which makes it easy to get around Paris.

I stayed at Ibis Styles Paris Gare de l’Est and had one of the most stressful hotel experiences I’ve ever had. At midnight, the wall-mounted hairdryer in my room overheated dangerously and could not be unplugged. The staff on duty (temporary hire) managed to contact the manager, but the only “solution” offered was to give me tape to cover it. Despite my concerns about a potential fire hazard, I was told the hotel was fully booked and nothing else could be done. Shockingly, they even asked me what I wanted to do about it, instead of taking responsibility for guest safety. To make things worse, at 7am the next morning, the fire alarm went off for no reason. There was no explanation, no apology, and no reassurance from staff. While the temporary staff tried their best within their limits, the management’s response to safety concerns was unacceptable. I’ve stayed in many hotels before, but I’ve never experienced such disregard for guest safety and comfort. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Room generally well kept but basin plug wasn't working. Desk and stool too small to be much use. Clothes hanging space has room for a safe which would be useful. Lighting a bit poor if you're using the desk.

We arrived at our hotel about an hour before check in, so our room was bot ready, we left our bags and went about our visit to paris. We ended up getting back to the hotel around 11pm. Myself my wife and 2 young children. We checked in and headed to our room, only to be greated by someone fast asleep in our bed. We headed back down to reception amd eventually were given another room. Now i can only assume that the family rooms were all booked as this room was definitely not a room regularly given out. The bathroom was absolutely discusting and covered in mould. The heat didnt work, nor did the plug sockets. But the kids were tired so we just went to bed as it was midnight at this point. The next morning we mentioned this to reception and they just said "oh sorry" and left. Regardless to say i would not recommend this place to anyone.

Staff was lovely and the room was very clean. The location of the hotel is great, close to important train stations. Negatives: room was cold and in need of soundproofing. Breakfast bufet was basic and once they ran out of something it wasn`t replaced so you had to be early. Given it`s a 3 start hotel, I guess the expections were met...

Front desk staff erre extremely rude for check in and for check out. We had to leave at 4,15am and the man didn’t even lighted the reception area inspite my request. The coffee machine was on and didn’t allowed us to help ourselves with a coffee. Staff for breakfast were nice. Property is far to be a 3-star hotel. Common areas are dirty, room not comfortable at all and no safe box either. A/C didn’t work! Well located at 5min walk to Gare de l’Est. I will not recommend the staying based on what the hotel offers and the high price payed for it. Terrible!!

This is a nice, no frills hotel. We arrived in Paris late in the evening and just needed somewhere for a night. The beds were comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well and the breakfast was perfectly fine.
