Overall rating of the hotel is great

The location of the hotel is very accessible to everything i will definitely choose this hotel again when i will go back to Paris

Quiet location but bad maid "service"

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet, bad maid service/wrong information given
This hotel is in a convenient location and is very quiet by Parisian standards. The biggest problem was the maid. She had to be repeatedly told, via the front desk, to restock the room with coffee, shampoo and towels and even to make the bed! My friend and I knew the bed wasn't being changed because the occasional mascara stain was still on the pillowcases for three days! Also, someone at the front desk gave us the false information that money could be exchanged for a cheaper rate than usual at the Bourse de Commerce. That was completely wrong. We took the metro and then walked for blocks only to be told at their front desk "There is no money here."

beautiful, clean and very inviting

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, friendly staff, super clean
Our stay at Mecure Voltaire was amazing. The staff very friendly and helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations, shopping tips and museums and other fun things. At the front desk, Natalie and Laura were always very polite and friendly. We loved Natalie especially because of her very bubbly personality. The hotel is beautiful, super clean, modern and includes all the amenities you might need while in your hotel. The bed was amazingly comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was excellent.

Felt right at home after each day of sightseeing!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Perfect location for walking to attractions. Metro station right there. Plenty of shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants even after arriving late at night from touring. Nice quiet location, staff very helpful, friendly and competitent. Room was spacious, bed and furniture decor was really nice. Amazingly large bathroom, especially by European standards. I highly recommned it.

Decent bang for your buck.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: no free breakfast, really small room
The hotel wasn't bad at all. Very clean, small rooms, but I wasn't in Paris to enjoy the hotel, so I didn't mind. I walked most of the places I went and this was a little out of the way from any of the touristy spots. If I hadn't gone in December I wouldn't have minded the long walks. I'd actually stay here again. A lot of restaurants and bars on a strip by the hotel and a cab waiting area across the street. I also left my $300 camera lens behind after flying back to America... they mailed to me!

the hotel was in an OK location

The woman working the reception/check in was not very helpful. my wife speaks fluent French and lived in Paris for a year. On our first full day we wanted to find a bank to exchange our money and she kept giving us very convultued direction. It turns out it was 2 metro stops from where we were.

From every perspective, this was an excellent choice of hotel.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, fantastic receptionists
Everything about this shiny new hotel was wonderful, from the warm welcome, to the very helpful and professional reception desk, to the convenient location. The concierges spoke multiple languages and conveyed a very welcoming message. It was right next to a metro stop and across the street from a bus stop. The restaurants and food establishments were plentiful. And the bakery, just a 10 minute walk away, at 31, rue Charonne made the best croissants I every tasted. I was also able to access my email ap free on my phone, allowing me to stay in contact with home. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice clean hotel, but neighborhood a little far from attractions and somewhat sketchy at night

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: breakfast expensive
Arrived at the hotel and immediately greeted, checked in early. Only problem with check-in is that on mentioning breakfast offered by hotel in the mornings, I asked if the service was complimentary or not and the hotel agent said "Yes, complimentary". However, on check-out we were charged 16 euros /each for each day (not complimentary). After some haggling, they did reduce the charge but still upsetting. Other than this, our trip was great. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable (although a little small, but that's Europe in general).
