Spacious apartment in lovely mountain location

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay here, up in the mountains with a fabulous view over Vesuvius. Both bedrooms had air con and we had use of a pool shared between 3 apartments. Although the apartment is dated, it had every we needed. Vincenzo made us feel very welcome and he lives in the apartment block so help is always on hand. There are shops and restaurants in the little town which is a short drive. There is a fabulous restaurant within walking distance. It was a great base to explore the whole peninsula. It was nice to go back to somewhere quiet after the craziness of Italian streets!

We had a lovely time in Pimonte. It is close to Naples, Vesuvio, Pompeii and also close to Amalfi coast. Spend here 5 nights with my 2 kids and husband. Apartmen is large with 2 bedrooms each with bathroom and kitchen. Amazing view from balcony. Large swimming pool and garden. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Apartment is a good choice.

Fabulous apartment with spectacular views

We had a wonderful stay in August at this apartment and would recommend it to anyone. Apartment is clean and spacious with 2 double beds and a sofa bed each bedroom has a TV also and Aircon unit, which was definitely needed in August. The views from the balcony of Vesuvius and surrounding towns are beautiful day and night. Lots of mosquitos though so take plenty of spray to protect. The swimming pool is shared with a other apartment but we got plenty of use of it over the week. It was very welcome in the heat. Location is up in the hills and the drive up is not for the faint hearted, although we got used to it by the end of the week I would say a car is probably needed to get about, especially if you want to go to Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi, etc. Vincenzo the host was very welcoming and lelives in another appointment in the block. Although my Italian is poor, we communicated well and he was available on WhatsApp if we had any questions. Overall, a lovely stay and we would definitely return!

Friendly Stay

Welcoming owners and a well positioned apartment. From nearby Castelamarra you can take the train to Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. The view from the property is amazing. Several reasonably priced restaurants in Pimonte serving lovely Pizzas.

Great place to stay, in a small town (Perfect base for Pompei /Sorrento /Amalfi coast)

Vincenzo was quick to respond to my initial queries. The actual apartment is in the same building he lives at and pretty spacious with a functioning kitchen. Nothing luxurious but very normal if that makes sense. Good amount of storage space and a washing machine is in the apartment. Parking spot is right outside. The balcony on one side has a spectacular (day and nighttime) view of Mt. Vesuvius. There are a few restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores within a 10 min drive. If driving over, make sure to check out the actual area before making the drive. The only draw back if any at all is the actual road you turn into (via Pendino) can easily be missed if you don't pay attention to the GPS. Will definitely come back.

Perfect!

It is a beautiful,well equipped and comfortable apartment with the most stunning views of Vesuvius and the beautiful countryside. Everything we needed was provided but what made our 3 night stay so special was our lovely host Raphaella. She greeted us with home made pastries and her delicious coffee and when we left we enjoyed coffee with her again and promised we'd be back one day. We felt we were saying goodbye to a friend. The village was wonderful, authentic Italy ...removed from the hustle and bustle of some of the more tourist focused spots in the area...very easy to relax. At Raphealla's suggestion we ata at the local restaurant and ended up back there 3 nights running....amazing food. We're happy to rate our experience as 5 stars across the board....it deserves even better than that.

A fantastic 10 days in Italy

As a family of 4 we really enjoyed our stay in Italy. Raffaella the owner of the apartment was lovely and so welcoming. She made us a tiramisu and often brought us her delicious coffee. The kids loved the pool. It was very small but they didn’t mind that. The view from the apartment was fantastic. We used this apartment as a base to see Italy. We had a hire car and went to Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Royal Palace of Caserta. We also went to Sorrento, Amalfi and Positano. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and we enjoyed Da Silvia’s which did great pizzas and a range of other food - at a very cheap price. We also went out to Salerno one evening for an Indian curry. I would highly recommend this apartment- although you’ll need a car to make the most of your trip.

Fabulous!

Raffaella was a wonderful host-- nothing was too much trouble and we felt most welcome in the lovely apartment she rented to us. The views around Pimonte were fantastic, and we ate well in two local pizzerias (both within walking distance, though one is up a steep incline but the tasty menu made the climb worthwhile). It's also worth getting up early to buy fresh bread and croissants from the local baker, who stops outside the appartment at around 7 - 7.30am each morning. All in all a lovely holiday rental if you want to submerse yourself in Italian culture. 10/10!

Perfect stay

We stayed at the property for 5 days in June 2019 - the property was perfect for our needs. We were a party of 4 adults, two children and a baby, Raffaella was able to provide us with a travel cot on request for the baby. The property is a large first floor apartment comprising of two large en-suite bedrooms and a sofa bed in the kitchen / dining room. The bedrooms were fitted with excellent air conditioning which helped with the warm summer nights. Both bedrooms have balconies, one of which overlooks Mount Vesuvius which is stunning on a night time. The kitchen is well equipped and serviced all our needs. The apartment is situated a 10 minute walk away from the village center which has a 'real' rural Italian feel. There is several cafe / bars and a bakery in the village. Raffaella was a good host and greated us with fresh coffee and biscuits. During our stay she made us some seafood pasta to try - it was the best food we tried all holiday. There is a small outdoor pool area which sufficed for our short stay, although the sunbeds are tired and the pool area itself is a little basic. It is perfectly situated for trips to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius which were all a short drive away. A word of warning though - i have driven in numerous countries around the world but the Amalfi Coast drive was the toughest i have ever experienced. I would highly recommend using the local buses which run regularly form the town. A hire car is essential in this rural location and the local supermarket MD is a 10 minute car drive away. The apartment is great value for money and i would recommend it to anyone.

quiet family retreat in the mountains

The accommodation was very nice and well equipped : a first floor flat with two double bedrooms and a sofa bed (2 singles) in the kitchen/diner. balconies in each room with a great view of mt vesuvius in bedroom 2. Parking was available. Rafaella was very friendly and welcoming, living in the flat upstairs in the property. The apartment was in the hills about 30-40 minute drive from Pompei. There were some nice restaurants in the village within walking distance. A car is essential. Unfortunately the swimming pool which was advertised, and the main reason for booking here with children was not available :( Sadly despite asking ahead of arrival, this was not communicated to us. Driving anywhere takes at least an hour... but we visited Mt Vesuvius, Pompei, Sorrento and Salerno and beaches on the Amalfi coast all on day trips... the area is genuinely beautiful. We had a great holiday here.

Many thanks to Raffaella for helping us enjoy our stay. She was flexible with our late-night arrival and had prepared pastries for us, which we appreciated, especially our children. The apartment was large and clean, with everything we needed to be comfortable. The view was wonderful, and we enjoyed exploring the area. I have already recommended this property to others who will be in the area, and I hope to return. If we do, we will stay here again.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, ruhige Lage und sehr freundliche Gastgeber! Große Wohnung, mit insgesamt drei Balkons (einer mit Top Aussicht auf Vesuv), sehr bequeme Betten, Küche ist ordentlich ausgestattet. Klima ist in den Schlafzimmern funktioniert top, bei heißen Temperaturen sehr willkommen. Genau wie der schöne kleine Pool, den man nur ggf mit Gästen einer weiteren Ferienwohnung teilen muss. Kicker und Tischtennisplatte sowie viele Sitzmöglichkeiten und ein Holzkohlegrill im Garten. Restauranttipp in 10 fußläufig erreichbar: da Silvia

Eigentlich top, bisschen mehr Liebe, dann wäre es wirklich top

Die Unterkunft entspricht der Beschreibung. Ein wenig mehr Pflege und Detailliebe könnte aber nicht schaden. Am Pool stehen umlaufend mehrere Schrauben raus an denen man sich verletzen kann, auch fehlte ein Sonnenschutz am Pool und die Toiletten hatten ein Eigenleben und würden sich nach einer Entkalkung sehnen. Sonst alles super
