The place was beautiful and good overall good but here is what to watch out for. Do not eat the sandwich meat here. I got food poisoning my last night by doing this for a quick lunch and severely regret it. Staff at the resort is great but what Expedia failed to mention was that you HAVE to book travel from the airport to the hotel prior to arriving. The descriptions of this was very miss leading by stating they have free 24/7 shuttles at select times and by calling ahead which makes it seem like two options when it’s really you have to call ahead. That alone costed us $150 US Dollars. Bring water shoes/ close toed shoes since most of the excursions require them. Another like $45 US dollars there. Explore Fuego was so much fun and I would recommend the zip line portion and Xio Bau was delicious if you want sushi. However Hotel Xcaret Mexico’s pools all close at 8:00pm which was also very disappointing. Many of the restaurants have required reservations so book everything on the front end either day one or two.

Worst resort I have ever been to. I have stayed with the Excellence, Alive Aqua, and Secrets with a lower price tag and much better service than xcaret. I expected in-room food service and a room without cockroaches. The water that they gave us to drink was in a reusable glass bottle, i personally felt like the sanitary of that was questionable and it was inconvenient to find clean cups to drink from. The housekeepers would only rinse the cup and put it back in the same place. Restaurant must be reserved at least 1 month ahead otherwise you will be eating at their buffet everyday. We were placed in phase 2 in the beginning where the room was infested in cockroaches and no room service. The next day we paid extra so we could be in phase 1 where there was room service and have a more habitable room. Please stay away from this resort if you plan on having a good time with your family. Just pay for their parks separately. My two kid will always remember that their vacation room in Mexico had cockroaches thank you xcaret.

Front desk didnt explain what we should do when we check in. There were not steps for us to follow. Most the the restaurant dinner we need to do a reservation, and some other parks. Bad experience with first time people.
