Les Suites Hotel Ottawa
"Les Suites has excellent customer service. We encountered a handful of housekeeping issues upon check-in, including dirty floors, missing kitchen linens and cleaning supplies, mold caused by debris lodged in the sink overflow, dusty baseboards, and hair left in the shower drain from a previous guest. While it would have been preferable not to experience these issues, staff responded to every request within about 10 minutes, resolving them quickly and professionally. The location is incredibly convenient, within walking distance of major attractions, great restaurants, and transit. While the hotel is across from Youth Services, The Mission, and a couple of blocks from the Salvation Army shelter, we never felt unsafe or bothered. Guest security is excellent, with key-card access for the entrance, elevators, and parking garage, plus security staff in the lobby. Our two-bedroom suite had very comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, and an excellent washer and dryer. It's an older building but well maintained. We especially enjoyed the beautiful fifth-floor courtyard outside the gym and pool, filled with flowers and trees. For parking, after reading previous reviews, we were concerned about our midsize SUV rental but we had no issues. Thanks to the central location, we walked or used transit anyway. Our only minor complaint was the elevators. There are three but, they could be surprisingly slow so, be patient. We took the stairs down and beat the elevators!"
