A wonderful hotel! Beds very comfortable and blankets were warm. Air conditioning was good, but we’d have liked it to be even cooler at night for sleeping. Alternatively, having lighter blankets might have been helpful.

Great location Old hotel - renovated areas

Excellent location near good restaurants, city hall, parliament and Byward market. Check in was fast and lady was very nice and welcoming. Unfortunately its an old hotel and HVAC vent had a weird smell (mold?). The pool was big but cold and the hot tub was circulating germs!!

We loved the historic vibe and atmosphere of the hotel. The bar and outside dining area were great. The hot tub was a perfect place to unwind and soothe sore muscles from traveling. Best of all, the staff was very nice and accommodating.

The Lord Elgin has always been a favourite of mine. Recently though the hotel is tired and dated. The Starbucks has left and now the corner area looks barren. The room a/c was not great but working as hard as it could. All in all a good place to station yourself out of in the downtown area.
