My reservation was canceled since we did not arrive and check in before 6 pm. I have never had this issue anywhere else. I made my booking through hotels.com. Nowhere on hotels or motel 6’s website says they will cancel your reservation if you are not there. I was not contacted to see if I was still coming or that it was canceled. It was not just a reservation and pay when I arrive. I had already paid for my room. When I arrived to check in the girl at the front desk she could not find my reservation and then explained that their policy is to cancel at that 6 pm mark. I had to pay for the room again and then speak to a manager the next day. She took my info but refused to give me a phone number or management she said she was not allowed too. When we finally got to our room the door did not lock. The only way to lock it was with the security latch. You could just push it open with out a key.

I hate giving a negative review to a privately owned business but upon checking in I was told the Freon was recently changed and the AC was having a hard time catching up. There was no air conditioning all night on a 90° day. There were no screens in the windows so once it cooled off, I couldn’t even open a window to help the room cool down. Lastly, at 2:51 AM, a massive fight broke out just outside my room that ran 15 minutes long. It must have been 8-12 people screaming and yelling and I was in I fear of gunfire as it escalated.
