Ashwood Manor Motor Lodge
"The staff were very friendly and helpful the room was immaculate clean and fresh, it was close proximity to city centre and easy to get around, and a hot spa bath every evening was ideal in the cold weather"

Novotel Tainui Hamilton
"A bit of a miss for me. The reservation/reception staff and valet parking staff were excellent. I travelled with 8 year old and they engaged her and made her feel important which was great as it was a birthday treat for her. The room a little bit over crowded with big furniture. The bathroom a little disappointed. Had a shower and got out and reached for hand towel to wrap my hair in and their was face foundation over one corner quite badly but the the towel had been folded so you couldn't see it initially. And I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was great but the dinner experience left me cold. I had the steak dinner special never got asked how I wanted the steak or the eggs I got a piece of old shoe leather, a salad drenched in dressing and eggs so we'll done I could only eat the over fried whites. My mokos kids meal came out and my took 40 minutes before mine came out. So all and all not a great experience considering the cost. The other thing i noticed was it was clear it was a hotel that was very eco focused but it was annoying how much signage there was about it but no instructions on how to access the wifi that I saw and I had to ring reception to find out how to access it. TV was was good and the bed comfort was amazing. Got a great sleep"
