Hampton Inn Raleigh-Capital Blvd is in a great location with easy access to all major roads. Staff is very accommodating but the hotel is in the middle of some major renovations. If you are planning a visit - stay away from the floors where work is ongoing. The included breakfast has many options and a coffee bar is available 24/7. The website lists in-room safes as one of the amenities but the 2 rooms we stayed in (we had to move due to a leak from the bathroom above us) did not have any safes in them. I'm sure this place will rate 5 stars once the renovations are completed.

I originally booked a king. I had my granddaughter with me and realized we needed a two bed room. The original room was old. We upgraded to a new room on the 5th floor. It was new and more relaxing.

It was just average. The rooms were minimal, they did have a nice breakfast everyday and was till about 10am. The all day coffee was fresh time we got it. Wish they had gluten free cookies with the other cookies they put out.

Keep in mind, it's being renovated.

Overall the stay was fine. The staff was very friendly and provided all info we needed for our short stay. We knew and understood that renovations would be going on, and that was not an issue. That in mind, I cannot give a fair review because what I thought was an issue for me (outdated carpet, loose/missing carpeting in some areas, A/C not working) can all be part of the ongoing changes. However, I do hope they throw out the pullout sofa in our room because it had bug "remnants" and stains on the mattress and more stains on the cushion. We didn't event sit on it after seeing that. The bed was clean and super comfy. The best thing for me was that the bathroom was super clean.
