Avis pour Mountain-view house with washer/dryer, fireplace, gas grill, balcony, & patio
The kitchen was well stocked with everything a person could need. That's the only good thing we can say about it. Screen doors didn't lock & back one was tore across the bottom & half way up; one person at a time in the shower because of the water pressure; track lighting in the kitchen didn't work or the light above the stove; laundry still in the dryer; dusty dead bugs in the window sills; musty smell downstairs; the grill was disgusting but they did come & somewhat clean it but you had to have a PHD to operate it. The directions to the house were awfu. Sits at the end of a very long driveway & unless you catch it just right you can't see the house & nothing at the main road telling you to turn. The internet was horrible to non-existent. The dishwaher was disgusting with rust or iron stains. Then there was the hot tub. Cold and beyond disgusting. The property itself has potential for a great get away house.
Communication was excellent. The house was clean, comfortable, and secluded, yet conveniently located allowing an easy and beautiful commute to Hill City, Custer, and Keystone, Our week was a record-breaking heat wave and I missed the fact that there is no air-conditioning. Fans were available and the nights tended to cool off. The deck was my favorite aspect of the house. To be in nature and greeted by chipmunks, a variety of birds, wild turkey, and white-tailed deer was a special gift. This was a definite win for our group.
Overall experience was good. Directions to the cabin were given other than an address which needed to be searched on Google. Not detailed enough. A simple map drawn by the the host as to what direction to go once off Hiway 385 would have be helpful and saved a lot of time. Also was told we would have access to the garage but weâre never given the code for the lock box in which the garage keys were. Took approximately 20-25 minutes on the phone to get things figured out to get the code. Was listed that there was a gas grill to use but was a pellet smoker which without any instructions was unable to use which was a big disappointment please be accurate when listing available options. A gas grill would make more sense to be used for simplicity and efficiency. Seems to be to many companies and people involved to get to the bottom of an issue. The cabin itself was was great and comfortable. Outside the cabin could have used some care as for as weeds were not Under control and took away from the appearance of the property. But again we did have a great time and enjoyed our stay. The for mentioned items were suggestions for make it better experience for the customers.
This was the perfect spot for our family. We enjoyed coming home after exploring the area each day. The kids were entertained with the included games, basketball, and pool/ping pong table. The kitchen was well stocked to cook dinners beautiful property
Overall was very good, well stocked, was clean, we had to clean the deck off when we come as it must have been a green pollen or something from the trees that was all over that and the grill, but after we found the water hose it cleaned up, was a very good stay
3 couples shared the house. We had a great time. A few things that weren't as indicated -pellet/smoker grill instead of gas grill. We had to make a run to Rapid City for pellets. The room with 2 bunkbeds and a bed, the frame was for a queen, but the mattress was a full. My husband slept on the lower bunk and I was on the full mattress. The other 2 rooms upstairs worked out well. We didn't care for there being a camera by the hot tub area. Also there is no table inside, but we did enjoy eating together on the table outside on the deck.
We enjoyed our stay at Happy Jack very much and highly recommend it. The property is quiet and secluded in the woods just as we hoped and we saw quite a few deer around the lot. We found the house clean and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable as well as the chairs in the living room. The kitchen was well supplied. The electronics were excellent and we especially appreciated the spacious âmovie roomâ in the lower level. We enjoyed the pool table and the table tennis. Being able to pull the car into the garage was very nice on evenings when it was stormy. It was too wet while we were there to enjoy the deck. We found the deck chair cushions in the locker, but unfortunately, they must have been put away wet because they were moldy. There was room to sit at the kitchen bar for meals, but it would have been nice to have a card table and chairs available, not only to augment seating but also to make it easier to play cards or board games.
