3 bedroom 3 bath secluded homesite on 5 acres overlooking forested hills and ravines. Located 5 miles south of Rapid City off Hwy 16 less than 30 minutes from Mt Rushmore and Hill City. Easy access to winter sports such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing and skiing. A summer retreat with easy access to the most scenic roads via motorcycle only 45 minutes from Sturgis. The Black Hills has several hundred miles of trails to walk, backpack and ride ATV’s.
Plenty of room to park trailers! Cabin style custom home with large windows offers beautiful scenery with wildlife frequently in view. Easily sleeps 8 with two bedrooms furnished with king beds and one with queen. Plenty of room for a blowup queen if needed.

Good Location, Amenities lacking

The location for our needs worked well in visiting Custer, Black Hills, Hot Springs, and Deadwood. This was the owners residence and they vacated it for our stay. There was a lack of hanging space in the closets due to their clothing, no window shades or drapes for privacy or sun blockage in the morning, kitchen was small and not well organized, and overall a dated property. With no Wifi we had hoped for better selection of satellite channels, but it was only basic level. We were informed the day prior to our arrival of the lack of a dishwasher. We accepted the idea and asked for a small refund to compensate for the added trouble. None was provided by the owner. Overall an average property for the money that met the minimum requirements for 4 adults on vacation. Next time in the Black Hills we will choose a different property.

Terrific Location

My husband and I stayed here with two other couples. This place was conveniently located for everything we wanted to do in the Rapid City area. Most sites were just minutes away. While the location was close to everything we loved the "away from it all" feel it also had. We felt safe and "cozy" tucked away in the valley where it is. We did see deer and bunnies every evening. Each of the 3 bed and bathrooms were on a different level, giving each couple some privacy while letting us all be together. Dave (the owner) was available for anything we might have needed and came to take trash once during our week long stay. I think the biggest con for our group was NO WiFi, a little inconvenient in this day and age, but we managed with our cell phone hot spots.

the house was in a beautiful area, we saw mtiple deer right out thenwindows most days. It was a great location to all the attractions we did and has entered of stores and shopping within a 10 min drive.

Best Vacation Ever

Our family came for the Sturgis rally and couldn’t have been more pleased with the house we rented from Dave. The house was very open with bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor. It was off to itself down a long paved driveway with lots of privacy and animals every night in the yard. It was centrally located from Sturgis and all the attractions and parks that are in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the house and South Dakota . Would love to visit again!!!
