Took front desk 5 minutes to find our reservation after initially saying we didn’t have one.
Was awoken twice during the night by an announcement saying that a fire alarm was a mistake. We never heard any alarm but heard the two announcements.
I am very disappointed with my one-week stay at Hilton SFO.
The view of the bay (Room 1129) was very nice. The elevators are fast and worked well.
The problem is that throughout my stay, the internet service was down almost daily and was at best intermittent. I had to go to a Starbucks to get work done. Then, the television service was inoperable except the in house Hilton Honors promo and a few random channels such as MSNBC, TBS and HBO.
Housekeeping was not provided on Sunday, August 10.
I complained every day during which there were outages. It was as if I was talking to the wall. I was not given any compensation for these issues.
I will not return to Hilton SFO.
Ok for a one night stay before an early flight the next day, or for the average business traveller who doesn’t expect a lot. No caffeinated tea. Dinner was good & though slow, the wait staff were friendly.
Overall nice older hotel. Airport transpo was convenient. Staff was always helpful and professional. There was no shuttle to nearby areas, as advertised.
