Two Double rooms with private bathrooms and an equipped roof terrace.
Imagine an elegant b&b located in the gorgeous Sorrento peninsula, in Sant'Agnello, housed in a historic noble family home rebuilt after the 1980 earthquake. This charming retreat in the historic center offers a timeless luxury experience, combining the charm of the past with modern comfort. A few minutes from the center but in a context that sometimes appears out of time.
Some guests book to attend our cooking classes, others to book our Apericoncert with a tenor singing classic Neapolitan songs accompanied by a grand piano, and still others book to participate in both events if available.
The equipped Rooftop and the luxurious breakfast constitute the real strong point of the structure. Framed in a small, well-kept Mediterranean garden, it offers a view of the hills of the peninsula and the top of Vesuvius. Here, guests can relax in comfortable seats, taking an outdoor shower under the welcoming shower head, preparing one of the drinks always available and offered by the house or sipping a drink to pay for maybe when the sun begins to set or, if available, booking a dinner under the stars with a la carte menu.
The rooms are tastefully furnished, with details that recall the nobility of the past: embroidered cloths from the mid-19th century and antique furnishings that tell stories of a glorious past. The master bedroom is equipped with a two-seater hydromassage tub, perfect for a moment of total relaxation and a walk-in closet with a mini bar.
The service is personalized and attentive, managed directly by the owners, who welcome guests with warmth and discretion, making everyone feels at home. Every morning a rich Italian breakfast is served, with some fresh seasonal fruit accompanied by refined numbered crockery in Japanese porcelain or hand-painted wood for younger guests and cutlery in silver, to start the day with style and elegance.
The Rooftop Terrace on the Sorrento peninsula is the ideal choice for those looking for a refined stay with the authentic Sorrento hospitality of the past; where every detail is designed to offer an unforgettable experience as well as to meet new friends perhaps through a Cooking Class personally lead and supervised by the hosts on sourdough bread, fresh homemade egg pasta and pizza cooked in the wood-fired oven on the roof.
Please kindly remember that it is also our home.
The kitchen, the living room with the small terrace attached as well as the entire upper floor are all private.
Even if the doors are only ajar and the steel staircase is free, it is strictly forbidden to enter or gain access without knocking and above all without asking permission. The host reserves the right to remove guests who do not respect his and his family's privacy. In the absence of the host and his family, access to these areas will constitute a reason for definitive and immediate removal from the property without the guests having anything to claim.
A travel crib is available with advance notice at the cost of 10⏠per night.
The last but not the least here's our Hospitality Code
âThe Rooftop Terraceâ was designed to make you feel at ease, in an atmosphere of serenity and mutual respect. To ensure everyone has a pleasant stay, we ask you to share a few simple values with us:
Respect â We treat our home, our neighborhood, and our guests with the same care we would like to receive;
Tranquility â We maintain a peaceful atmosphere, avoiding excessive noise, especially late at night;
Sustainability â We care about the environment: we use water and energy wisely and recycle waste;
Inclusion â Everyone is welcome here, without distinction of any kind;
Home Care â The spaces are designed for everyone's well-being: use them with care and leave them as you found them.
With small gestures of care, together we create a special environment, one of harmony and respect.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this description and above all for understanding the central part of it that unpleasant misunderstandings have led us to write.
The host and family were outstanding. It may be a little different than other VRBOs as you stay in the same house as the family. Super helpful and super accommodating. Thanks for a great stay.
The location of this property is fantastic with great access to Sorrento via train with a short walk to the train station. The host and his family were incredibly accommodating, including helping to show us the fastest way to walk to the house from the train when we arrived. The hospitality was excellent, and we took the cooking class which was one of the top highlights of our entire trip
I cannot say enough about our stay here. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel at home. One morning we were leaving early and Mariana made us sandwiches for lunch since we were going to skip breakfast. The breakfast on the top floor looking out into the city was delightful. Beautiful china, service and food. They are vegetarian and all was delicious. Rooms are clean and spacious. Thank you so much!
We had a great stay at Carmineâs property. He was very welcoming, friendly and with a personal touch. He served a very extensive breakfast for us and tried to cater for our needs. The accommodation is of a very good quality and clean but is not entirely separate from the hostâs living space. They even had 2 very friendly cats! Thank you for your hospitality!
We stayed here with another couple. We opted to take the cooking class that Carmine and his wife, Mariana, offer. Well worth the price! Upon our arrival, Carmine shared with us a bottle of the best Prosecco that I have ever tasted! It was divine! We then proceeded to the cooking class and and bread that Mariana makes is amazing. Her hands on the bread, shaping it, are amazing. Later, there was pizza baked in their pizza oven. The best pizza ever! I'm looking forward to starting my own sour dough starter and making some great sour dough bread. It was a delightful evening.
Our room was very comfortable. Spacious with a large bathroom that included a bidet. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. I'm a "coffee first thing" person and it would have been nice to have coffee in the room. There is an espress/coffee machine on the rooftop terrace. The rooftop is beautiful. Very peaceful with nice views of the hills and city.
Rooftop Terrace is conveniently located to good restaurants, shops and transportation. Carmine can recommend restaurants in the area. We had a delightful meal at Peppino, just a 5 minute walk away. Great gnocchi, my personal favorite. Decent wine. There are 2 bakeries close by, too, and a large grocery store.
You can walk to downtown Sorrento in less than 30 minutes. There are some great shops, the port for ferries is there and lots of restaurants. Lots of limoncello and gelato along with linen clothing of all types.
These accommodations are perfect for immersing yourself in the authentic Italian experience. The host is incredibly welcoming and dedicated to ensuring that your stay captures the essence of Southern Italy's captivating lifestyle. The surrounding community is rich with shops and food, while you're only about 20 minutes (walking) to Sorrento's tourist area. Thank you for a wonderful time, and we look forward to visiting again.
If you are a traveler seeking a hospitable, charming, host that cares for your comfort and is available for advice on local tours and activities, you can stop your search. The two bedrooms available with private baths are beautiful and offer everything you need for comfort, up to and including shoe-horns! These are private quarters that are accessed through the family home. The roof-top garden terrace where breakfast is served with linen, china, and warmth provides beautiful views. This family made our stay unforgettable. Our greatest challenge was leaving! We highly recommend this property located near restaurants, a grocery store, ATM, post office and shops.
Such an amazing experience! The hosts went above and beyond to create a very memorable experience. The food and drink as well as the cooking class. Beautiful Host Family. Highly recommend!
