Just 10 minutes from Siesta Key (The #1 Beach in the USA), 5 minutes to Sarasota or South Gate shopping, and 8 minutes to Downtown Sarasota. This is the perfect location for the beach, shopping, dining, and golf. The location was great and the home met all of our expectations. It was close to downtown Sarasota which allowed us easy access to all the amenities offered. It was really enjoyable taking walks in Arlington Park just down the street. And our dogs very much enjoyed catching frisbees in the fully fenced in backyard. A great place to stay for three weeks!

Highly recommended

We really enjoyed our stay here and plan to come back. The place worked for us and our dog, nice big back yard. It's also a nice spot from which to visit the Sarasota area and its barrier islands. Mark is a great host and responds immediately to any issue. Highly recommended.

Our favorite thing about this property was the location of Arlington Park, with dog park and recreation center at end of street. Convenient also to beaches and downtown. The beds were comfortable, it had newer appliances in kitchen but the furniture in the Livingroom was worn and kitchen stools were broken. Owner knew some appliances needed repair before we checked in.

Great Sarasota VRBO!

Check in was very easy, the home was clean and well stocked. It was very nice to have two separate bathrooms near to the main bedrooms. Communication with the owners was very quick and easy. Location so close to Arlington Park is a real bonus as morning walks were beautiful. Our stay was very nice.

Lovely comfortable space amd great location

We loved meeting Mark. He was always responsive to anything we might ask about. He gave us a tour and the instruction binder. You cannot go wrong with this home. The community pool is a block away. The staff there was kind and helpful. The pool was warm. We watched the athletes practice as well. The pool.fee was $4 per visit but kids and seniors was $2 so it was inexpensive. We went several times between the beaches. No complaints. Oh, the suite with the shower... the shower head was amazing.

Location! Workspace! Dog-friendly!

Great spot near lovely park. Two of us had private spaces to work, each with a closed door. One room had a desk. Fenced-in yard and dog supplies made it a great place if traveling with a dog. Sandra and Mark were accommodating and replaced some items that were tired, broken or running low. What would make this property even better: 1-a thorough inventory of kitchen dishes, towels, pots, utensils, serving dishes. Some items were great, even unexpected, but others could use a refreshing. 2-reconfigured outdoor seating area. The patio strip was narrow and uneven. It was easy to sit on chairs and sip a drink, but harder to have a functional space to eat or work or move around. 3-firmer sofa in living room. However, the bed was comfortable, internet was great, we had what we needed, and the owners cared.

Sandra and Mark were very accommodating and the house was great, especially for the dogs! Dog park at the end of the street was very convenient to walk the dogs every day and the fenced in backyard at the house was the BEST!! All the previous reviews regarding the comfort of the beds are true!! Slept so good every night!!

Great house

We rented for the months of January and February. The house was clean and stock with supplies. We were close to Arlington Park and the YMCA. For us we were not far from are family. The owners were conducive to any problems that came up. We knew that the house was not handicapped accessible but thought we could make it work for us. It was more difficult than we anticipated. That is the only reason that will keep us from renting again.

A great escape from the cold winter

We loved the Arlington Park area and our time in beautiful Sarasota. The house was a perfect location to spend time in the Osprey area as well as the waterfront, Long Boat Key, Lido Beach, and Siesta Key. Arlington Park is a wonderful place to walk or run amid the beautiful flora and fauna. Now that I am back to 22 degree temps, I miss the sunshine and warmth. The hosts were very responsive and provided us with some great tips – Libby’s, Mortons, Yoder Farms, and Detweilers. It was wonderful knowing they were only a few blocks away if needed. They were not intrusive and we felt comfortable in their home. Speaking of comfort, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were great. Sarasota is a wonderful community and we look forward to coming back again soon.

Great Location in Arlington Park

We stayed here for a month and loved the location. It was a quick walk to the jogging paths, the swimming pool and the dog parks in Arlington Park. It was a quick drive to the beaches on Lido and Siesta Keys. The house was well equipped and we appreciated the office, as we were working remotely during our stay. The kitchen was well provisioned, not only with cookware and dishes, but also with coffee, tea and lots of spices. The front loading washer and dryer were terrific. Sandra was an awesome host and a great communicator.

Great Property

This house is in a perfect location to enjoy Sarasota and the surrounding areas. The owners are responsive and easy to work with. If you need to buy a home (which we did), Sandra is very experienced and helpful realtor. The kitchen is well stocked, and there is plenty of room in the house. The yard is wonderful if you have a dog.. with geckos to keep your pet entertained! We had a really nice stay in this property and highly recommend it.

Great family vacation rental

We just spent 3 wonderful weeks in this home and lived that it allowed us to bring among the family pet....without looking or smelling like a pet hotel. The home is centrally located in the city allowing us to hop around from the beaches to the instate very easily and quickly. We loved the convenience of the park at the end of the block and the safety the dead end provided in letting our young boys rude their bikes The home was very well supplied and we really enjoyed not having to haul beach chairs or an umbrella in our drive from Atlanta. Be sure to check out all the cabinets before shopping. I like to cook and really loved the surprise of good kitchen supplies. The beds were comfortable, well protected and had ample linens. The washer and dryer seemed small, but did a great job. I loved the big closets as I prefer to hang everything. Sandra and Mark were really helpful when we had questions prior to our arrival and we never had a single complaint or question during our stay so we could really just relax and reset as a family. We really enjoyed how safe the neighborhood was and it never felt risky leaving our bikes, fishing gear or coolers outside. I honestly can't offer up anything but praise and we would definitely rebook the house without hesitation

I enjoyed my stay at Arlington Street, property was clean the kitchen well-equipped to cook anything that you would like! The location was great as it was only about 6 miles from the beach. The beds were quite comfortable and air-conditioning work great! Only recommendation I would have is to put a floor lamp at end of couch, not enough lighting in living room at night to read.

Cute house in a great neighborhood

All was as expected. Lovely house with a well-stocked kitchen and a pretty yard. We love to cook normally, but this was even more appreciated during the pandemic. An easy drive to Siesta Key Beach, and a short walk to Arlington Park. We loved that also!

Arlington house was a perfect choice

My wife and I recently stayed at this lovely house located next to Arlington Park. The location was excellent! We were close to shopping areas and only minutes to Siesta Key! It was so nice to have a place we could take our Goldendoodle too! She loved our daily stroll through Arlington Park located at the end of our quiet street. The backyard was fenced and well maintained which she enjoyed as well. The home was comfortable and quiet. We would definitely consider renting this property again in the future!

Sweet House for Fur Families

Sandra and Mark offer a fabulous environment for dogs. The terrazzo flooring is impervious to just about anything, the yard is large and awesome, and there's a dog park a stone's throw away. The accommodations for humans are pretty sweet too. Amazingly comfy beds (pillows, not so much, so you might want to bring your own). Nice set-up for private spaces. Essentially having two master bedrooms is great. Our family comprises three humans and four human-sized dogs. The space was perfect for us. (Though the property is advertised to accommodate up to six people, I think four really is the max.) A few housekeeping notes: bring your own coffee, condiments, and cleaning supplies. Previous guests have graciously donated food items, but don't count on it. Do not put the knives in the dishwasher. We found them rusty and cleaned them the best we could, but they should be hand-washed. Do not put the lovely blue plates in the dishwasher as they are not dishwasher safe. The dryer is rather truculent, so give it some time. If you want to do some serious cooking, bring an extra pot. While the cookware is great, there's not enough of it to make both spaghetti sauce and spaghetti. The beach is close, and there are towels, chairs, a brelly, and sunscreen, so you will not need to bring those items. That said, if yoiu are concerned about COVID, you may want to eschew the beach. I went one day. People were not wearing masks, filling water bottles from community water fountains, and congregating close together. Or, go at the end of the day when the beach is less crowded. All in all, though, a great little vacation house! Enjoy!
