Lil John Coastal Cottage Near Siesta Key Beach

Updated 10/16/24 *No damage from hurricanes! We are located off Tamiami Trail in a quiet and safe neighborhood close to Siesta Key. If you are currently displaced from Hurricane Milton or need to come and check on your property on a barrier island - we are centrally located to access Siesta Key and further south or north to St Armand's, Lido and Longboat Key, or AMI. For other guests - Some of the barrier islands are open to the public like Siesta Key (the beach is open for public use but there are sands on road and the pavilion is closed there. Also, many of the businesses will still be closed on Siesta Key as repairs happen). St Armand's Circle is open to access but very few (if any - updating soon as we gather more info) businesses are open currently. Some may open in a week or 2. Some will take longer to re-open. Lido Beach was open today with acceptable water quality and there were many people out on the beach this morning - 10/16/24. Longboat Key remains currently closed while repairs happen. We are waiting to confirm access to Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach and Anna Maria Island. However, Sarasota and Bradenton plus surrounding areas on the mainland are open and you can enjoy everything like restaurants and shopping. Downtown Sarasota is vibrant and businesses are staying busy! We will update this once we have more info* We have a 3 bedroom villa available as well - Inquire with us!

Tucked on a on a quiet cul-de-sac street, The Lil John Coastal Cottage is behind the main duplex and is accessed by a coral rock & solar-light lined path that leads to it under an Oak tree in our own Sherwood Forest. The cottage offers a charming blend of comfort and convenience, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and grocery stores, all within walking distance.

As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a warm and inviting living space, thoughtfully designed with updated décor and modern amenities. The living room features a comfortable seating area with a sofa and queen sized pull out bed (Feel free to bring the kids or another couple with this space) and a large Roku TV, perfect for movie nights or relaxing after a day at the beach.

The bedroom boasts a new queen-sized bed with a reclaimed wood-pallet headboard, dressed in soft hotel-style sheets and bedding. Upscale window shades ensure you can sleep in if needed. A dresser and closet provide ample storage, keeping your space organized throughout your stay. There is also a full length mirror to help you look your best each day.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals at home, including an electric range, microwave (with combo convection oven), and a coffee bar complete with a Keurig coffee maker, k-cup pods, a 5 cup drip coffee maker and locally sourced Kahwa coffee. The kitchen is also stocked with pots, pans, plates, and essential pantry items, so you’re ready for anything, whether cooking at home or packing for a beach day.

The newly updated and upgraded bathroom is small but adequate and features a new vanity, mirror, lighting and walk in shower with a rainfall shower head coming from the ceiling

The Outdoor Space

Step outside to enjoy the large, fenced yard (shared space)- a perfect spot for your furry friends under 50lbs to play safely, the yard is fully fenced in with our new pet gates on each side of the front duplex. We also added a new outdoor dining table & blue umbrella with seating for 4 for the cottage guests to use (not yet pictured). The screened-in porch is an ideal setting for enjoying your morning coffee or evening meals, while the fire pit and seating area offer a tranquil space for relaxing under the stars while you BBQ on the provided propane gas grill in the shared backyard.

**We can sometimes accommodate early baggage drop-off for a $50 fee or you can utilize local baggage storage (inquire for details and we can send a link to you)

**If an early check-in is wanted, inquire with us to see if we can accommodate you. If there are no same-day guests check-outs, we may be able to arrange early check-in for an additional tiered fee depending on how many hours earlier the check-in is. The same applies for a Late checkout.

If you have a large group or family - ask about our new listing that let's you book all 3 units of the triplex (Duplex up front with Cottage in the back)! With a total of 5 bedrooms and 2 queen pull out sofas, you can comfortably sleep 10-14 people! Enjoy the entire property to yourself and your group!

We strive to surprise our guests with well-stocked rentals and want to provide you with the amenities and service you won't find in many other rentals!

Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am in consideration of other guests and neighbors.

Lido Beach has a community pool located on Lido Beach at the Lido Beach Pavilion. Available to use for a day use fee.

***In regards to Florida's natural wildlife, floral and fauna, we will sometimes experience mosquitoes, ants, spiders, cockroaches, etc outside. We have regular pest treatments performed both inside & outside the units. We also personally, utilize bait, traps and sprays to keep these insects outside where they belong. Please don't keep windows without screens or doors open too long as you nay inadvertently let some inside. Should you come across any pests during your stay, please make us aware so we can address the situation. While it's rare to come across these pests inside, a refund will not be offered for the occasional occurrence. We always want you to be comfortable during your stay and you will find that we act quickly and with compassion to resolve any issues you have.
