PARADISE HOME BY THE SEA

If you are looking for the perfect home to spend a week or month in paradise this is it. How do I know? The property was originally built by my Grandparents in the 80s so it has been in our family for decades :) Perfectly located in a private cul-de-sac with a beautiful lake at the end of the street. Minutes from Siesta Keys Caribbean white sandy beaches.

ABSOLUTELY no Paradise in German Roach infested House.

House was no well maintained. D a n indicated to us that a bug company was coming as a preventative measure but we found out it was for treatment of an issue the owner must gave known about prior to our arrival. We would never have unpacked our bags.we cleaned entire house. Bugs were in kitchen cabinets and dishwasher and floors. We normally stayed on the beach in Siesta Key but hurricane damaged our rental there. Paid more money here andit was definitely not worth it. our bags

House ok

Got to the house and was taken back by odor when we walked in, house appeared clean but was surface clean only, really needs a deep clean had to spend a day making it livable, cleaned bathrooms and swept all floors, wiped all counters. The floors really need scrubbed. There was no lighting in the living room had to buy a lamp and tea towels for kitchen. Hand towel holder in bathroom came out of wall if you hung towel on it, spigot in master bath was so lose you had to hold to pull plunger to start shower. AND biggest shock of all, went to open French door to back patio, there was non AND there is a motor home in the back yard with someone living in it!! This was never revealed to us prior to renting!! Single man living in it. We did make best of time there as neighbors are friendly and area was great for walking

Perfect Location

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay here. Comfortable pet friendly home with everything you need, even beach chairs to use. Located very close to Publix grocery store, an amazing Italian bakery, good restaurants and Siesta Key Beach, which was a main attraction for us. We would definitely return the next time we are in Sarasota. Thanks for everything Dan!

Opportunity for improvement.

There was a large bag of cat food on top of the refrigerator (open). The home smelled of cat food. There was also a pillow case in the middle of the kitchen floor. Probably where an animal had been resting. The television in the master bedroom “popped” off Sunday night, and would not turn back on(?). The remotes for the other bedrooms did not work.

more love for the house and it will bloom, excellent location

We entered the house at 4.02 pm. The temperature in the house was 80F. There was a woman in the house who had no intention of leaving. We started bringing things in. The woman was in the kitchen and acted as if we had arrived at her place. Then it turned out that the woman there was cleaning the house, she doesn’t know English at all, she was waiting for some body. The time was already 4.20, we politely asked this strange woman to leave, she went out the door and sat down on a bench near the house, sat there for another 20 minutes. The shower, which is located between the two bedrooms, had no pressure and there was someone's hair in there; the toilet flushes with a small amount of water. In the master bedroom the water in the sink did not drain. The floor was dirty, no one had washed it, the walls were covered in black stains. We went into the bedrooms, touched the linen, it was covered in sand, we had to urgently take it off and take it to the washing machine, then wash the floors, also the towels were not washed, they smelled unpleasant, they were simply put in the closet. The floor, walls, bedside tables, dining table were dirty, we washed everything ourselves and finished cleaning at 9.30 pm. We couldn’t go anywhere, we were doing someone else’s work! Shower supplies, liquid soap was diluted with water, there was no toilet paper. 2 days before the end of our vacation, the same woman came to evict us, she wanted to do the cleaning

Extremely uncomfortable

Had to send several emails to the owner requsting check in info. Finally received the information 13 minutes prior to check in. We arrived on Sunday, and by Tuesday the air conditioning stopped working. We notified the owner, and it was never fixed. We stayed 3 nights with no A/C. It it too hot at the end of June to go without A/C. No one was able to sleep, totally ruined our trip. In addition none of the TVs were working, and no replacement trash bags were available.

Incredible vacation!

This property is gorgeous inside and out. Everything my family could have wanted to feel at home. So close to Siesta Key carribean beach! The owner was great to communicate with as well!

Exactly what needed and what expected

It does good the job for a family. Not close to the downtown, but close to Cayo Siesta, and over all, to the Historic Spanish Point where we were attending a wedding.
