Tiny Cottage 537 in Savannah's Historic District!

This tiny cottage has it all! Private laundry, a kitchen, comfortable Queen bed and most importantly an authentic Savannah historic district home in a great walkable location!

Part of a historic railroad worker's cottage 'triplex' compound, this cottage built in the 1870's has a shared yard space with walkway to Jones Street. There is no shared interior space in this rental, so you will have privacy. The cottage has a Queen bed, a small kitchenette with a cooking range, a washer/dryer and a bathroom with shower. VERY cute, perfect size for my husband and I. Lovely quiet neighborhood, very sweet, great location. We enjoyed the cottage very much and it worked well for our stay. Unfortunately the host was not helpful nor kind. We arrived late in the evening and the access was locked. We tried to contact the host and got no response- telephone, message, through the app, nothing. In fact, the telephone number is not even a working number. We were able to locate another way into the gate but had to make multiple trips, with luggage, to access through the back alley. When the host finally returned my calls, she argued it was not locked and we simply did not follow instructions- which was not the case. Supplemental communication inferred we were lying and she was very rude. We provided her evidence of the lock, both pictures and a video, and once that was sent over to her, she quit responding to any communication altogether. She did not respond to the photos/video, nor a follow message with additional questions the day of our departure. All of that to say- as long as your access is not locked upon arrival and/or the host is respectful and responsive to you- this is an amazing booking. Otherwise, the house itself really is wonderful.

Bottom of apartment door rubs, which makes it a bit difficult to enter. (Best bet was to kick the bottom of the door.) I would have liked some sort of communication with the property owners, even just an email to say “Let us know you’ve arrived and have settled in.” It was very much an absentee landlord experience.

The cottage was very comfortable and had all the amenities necessary. The location is right off of beautiful Jones Street, a very quiet and peaceful spot. We walked into the town. We parked right on the street and it was free.

There really was not a designated host although I did call the number listed and the woman I spoke to was helpful and lovely. Here are my suggestions.1. Given the unseasonable cold, it would’ve been great if you would have called us and suggested we left the water dripping as we had no running water in the bathroom the following day. I wish of course that I would’ve thought this myself. We were able to get water out of the kitchen sink to pour into the container in the back of the toilet to get it to flush.2. I was unable to find any ability to stream through Netflix or any streaming apps. So I use my own computer instead of being able to watch the television. And by the way, the television was really tiny.3. The room had coffee and a coffee pot, but it would’ve been really nice to have some creamers so we did not make use of the coffee because of that. The place we stayed at the night before had all these amenities and was less expensive and had an available host who was very responsiveThanks for taking all of the cent considerationDonna Torrisi

Cute little cottage in great location

This cute little cottage is tucked away in a wonderful neighborhood that’s as pretty as a postcard and very quiet. We felt totally safe too. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything we needed for a cozy stay. The only quirk? It’s got a bit of a slant—charming in a “Dr. Seuss meets real estate” kind of way. Just don’t set your coffee down without a coaster… or a seatbelt. Still, we’d definitely come back (maybe with a level and some Velcro).

6 nights in a lovely nest

This space is part of a tiny duplex behind a proper cottage. The patio is accessed by a latch-gate from the street. The space itself is a studio, with an oven, microwave, and a lovely record player (we recommend the John Barrymore and Ocean drive records). The bathroom was spacious with plenty of linens for our week stay. We did not hear our neighbors, and though the patio is shared it had lots of chairs and tables for all three properties. The location on Jones street is perfect for walking into downtown, but also close enough to the highway to drive to the beach in about 20 minutes and East Savannah in 10. We would absolutely recommend staying here. The only option I would have liked is a little more security on the latch gate, We loved the bed, and the pilows were almost as good as our own. I will say Savannah will ticket if you do not move your car for street cleaning/anything they can, so pay attention to the signs. The owners clearly spelled out how to park so we did not have any issues on Jones. All in all a great trip. .

Perfection from start to finish!

We were so happy to see that a place like this was available for a month out booking, and wow- were we impressed. Mary was prompt and communicative, giving us detailed instructions with warm hospitality. Upon our arrival, the cottage and courtyard were very clean and tidy, it’s clear someone cares deeply for the space. Not only was our host wonderful, but we made friends with the other properties guests in the shared courtyard. We ended up spending our entire morning getting to know the other couple, sharing coffee in the shade and comfy chairs. this was truly the highlight of our trip, and we will absolutely be coming back ASAP!! Thank you Mary!

Great getaway!

A delightful, quaint, updated tiny cottage situated in the historical district. The details displayed were appreciated-plenty of hooks for hanging clothes, a stackable washer/dryer, and a complete kitchen. An added surprise was the record player and albums. We certainly would stay at this property in the future.

Super charming cottage

This little space efficient studio was just perfect for a couple of nights in Savannah. It was absolutely quiet day and night and it’s situated off a beautiful street with a quaint shared courtyard (although we never saw anyone else there). Grocery store is a half mile away and you can walk to anything in historic Savannah from here.
