You wake up to the calm quiet of your gated community after a refreshing night with black out curtains, in the California King bed. You slip a fresh pod in the Nespresso, and pour milk in the Aerocinno. As you are savoring a freshly steamed latte, you step onto the spacious top floor balcony, and relax while you watch shore birds fishing in the river below.

Later that morning, you walk three blocks through a charming neighborhood to the beach. Strolling north on the sand, you search for shells that have washed up overnight. To the south, you find broad beaches, and the Seaside promenade leading you to unique shops and restaurants downtown. You enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and afterward discover a tiny shop with fantastic homemade ice cream.

Arriving back at River Song, you hop in the car and drive south along picturesque, historical highway 101. A twenty-minute drive brings you to Cannon beach, where you spend a pleasant afternoon browsing the art galleries and shops and gaze at Haystack Rock.
That evening, a heavenly bowl of clam chowder at a local brew pub sets you thinking about when you can return. Still savoring the flavor, you relax again on the balcony, watching a lovely sunset as the light fades over the ocean, turning Tillamook Head into a spectacular silhouette. As the air cools, you move inside and choose a book from the library. You settle down in a comfortable leather recliner in front of the gas fireplace, and ask Alexa to play some soothing background music while you read.

As night falls, you realize that tomorrow, you can do it all over again. You’ve booked two more nights. Ahhhhhhh……
