Hotel Amadeus Sevilla
"Hotel Amadeus is a lovely hotel with an excellent location, making it easy to explore Seville on foot. The property has plenty of character, very good amenities, and our room was comfortable overall. Unfortunately, our pre-arrival experience was disappointing. Our flight to Seville was cancelled, causing major delays, rerouting, and the loss of an entire day of our trip. I sent the hotel three messages explaining the situation and that we would arrive a day late. I also called several times but was placed on hold each time, and no one ever returned to the call. What disappointed us most was that none of our messages were acknowledged, even though the hotel had been very responsive before our trip. Only after Expedia contacted the hotel several times did they agree not to classify us as a “no-show.” I completely understand being charged for the missed night, but the lack of communication during a stressful travel disruption left a poor impression. The only other issue was a persistent unpleasant odor around the sink area of our room, similar to cat urine, that never went away. Overall, it’s a charming hotel with a great location and good amenities, but better communication with guests during unexpected situations and attention to room maintenance would make the experience even better."
