The Dockside Cottage is located on Decker's Cove overlooking a busy waterway with lots of boat traffic. Lobster wharf + restaurant across the street with 20 local lobstermen bringing in their catch. Deck with picnic table & umbrella and out door chairs. Kitchen fully equipped, Free WIFI, cable TV, linens. Two miles from downtown Boothbay Harbor, shopping, boat rides, restaurants, & best Botanical Garden in the Northeast.

A cozy cabin for two on a picturesque harbor. Handy to many points of interest and restaurants. Where they bring many of the lobster catches in.

We loved it!

My husband and I came to Maine to unwind - and this cottage was the perfect place! Often we sat on the deck reading our books, looking up when a lobster boat went by. We went into town a few times, but some days we just stayed at the cottage, and walked over to Robinson's Wharf when we wanted dinner or ice cream. Perfect vacation for us!

Another wonderful stay

Another wonderful stay. Just spent a week at Thompson cottages. Cottage by the water it’s just a slice of heaven. I love the location. It’s a few minutes from Boothbay Harbor and Southport is quiet. The cottage is right over the water and the deck is wonderful for breakfast lunch and dinner. We even sat outside before bed to enjoy the solitude

Unbelievable

Best vacation I've ever been on. The perfect spot to relax and enjoy yourself. Lots of different things to do in the area. Boothbay harbor is about a 10 minute drive away. The view from the deck is amazing. Watch lobster boats go in and out. There is a very nice restaurant next door or you can stop in to their seafood market and cook your own fresh seafood meal. We met the owner the first day and he was extremely nice and welcoming. We can't wait to make our way back to Maine and this cottage will be our first choice to stay in again!

Great spot to rest your head!!

I’ve stayed at the Thompson Cottages in the past and they never disappoint!! Great location and next door to Robinson’s Wharf which is an added bonus!! We have another week reserved in August!!

Perfect location

This is the perfect location and we loved the view from the cottage windows and deck. We had a lovely week. The only negative is the WiFi which is practically non-existent.

Pretty as a picture

This little Bayside cottage is perfect for a single person or a couple. The beds can be set up as twins or a very generous king. There’s everything there that you need. And the view was beyond expectations. We enjoyed eating on the deck morning noon and night. There’s a restaurant next-door that will steam lobsters for you in their seafood market. We did that several times and we kept congratulating ourselves for our choices. We hope to visit again soon

The Real Maine

We have traveled to Maine before staying in Bar Harbor but decided to try Boothbay this time. I am so glad we did, it really felt like you are in Maine especially staying here at the Dockside cottage. I enjoyed watching the Lobstermen head out at sun rise in the morning without having to leave our accommodations. Having a restaurant and seafood market right next door was wonderfully convenient. I will recommend Thompsons Dockside Cottage. It was a blast watching all the people dining on the large outdoor patio next door. The Thompsons were very nice and easy to work with. Thank you Thompson Family for a wonderful stay. Terrilyn
