Nice location, but run down

The condo is right on the bus line which is nice, less then 10 minutes to the mountain. The condo itself is run down. The dishwasher is obviously on its last legs. You can hear the pumps grind every time you use it. The couch and chair in the living room are beat up. The pellet stove would shoot sparks into the condo. The second bedroom bed frame is missing a leg in the middle making it very uncomfortable.There is a lack of storage in the 2 main bedrooms. Neither of them have a dresser, but a small closet.

A self-help project

Very clean and well appointed kitchen, with the exception of the dishwasher. It had a missing wheel on the bottom rack, which made it wonky and the water wheel would not turn, making the dishwasher not that effective. We discovered the missing wheel in the recesses below the sink on our last day, attached it, and the dishwasher worked for our last load. The master suite had missing support bars in the platform below the mattress, turning it into a hammock. We found missing bars within the platform and spent 45 minutes fishing the bars out and installing them in their slots. Had we not done that, our first night would have been not restful. I’m glad the pool didn’t matter to us, because we would have been disappointed in the size. It’s maybe double the footprint of the hot tub (which was nice). Also, our neighbors below us had a party with thumping bass into the morning. I believe they are long term renters.

Great Location that did not live up to expectations

We loved the area and access to the bus stop, unfortunately the property is not being maintained. The washer did not work. When the maintenance person arrived two days later, they were able to fix the washer. Then the next day, the dryer quit working. We gave up at that point. The maintenance staff filled our fireplace with pellets which ran out in two days. Apparently there is an issue with the fireplace as well and we were told not to use it. Finally, the shuttle service which was advertised was never available--two of the vans needed to be serviced. These type of shenanigans are expected for a discount property, but we were charged a premium for the location and amenities. It left us disappointed.

Cute family friendly condo but terrible beds

Let’s talk about the good first
.the condo was situated close to everything we needed (ski slopes, stores, grocery, etc.) and had a shuttle service that we utilized back and forth to the ski slopes. The condo itself had adequate room for our family of 10, with all the amenities we needed for our 7 night stay. The balcony overlooked the courtyard and pool area. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed; however, the frying pans really need to be replaced. Our biggest issue with this condo were the beds and lighting. The mattresses in both downstairs bedrooms need to be thrown away and replaced. One bedroom had a mattress laying on the bedframe (no box spring), which made it extremely uncomfortable. All of our children slept upstairs, and the bunk beds were uncomfortable as well, which caused one of our children to sleep on the sofa instead of the top bunk. The two bedrooms downstairs had a ton of light coming in through the windows all hours of the night from the passing cars, so this woke us up many times each night since we are used to sleeping in a dark room. Speaking of dark rooms, the lighting in the bedrooms consisted of 2 lamps and no light in the closet, so this made it difficult to navigate the dark rooms, especially at night. We also had a problem with the receptacles staying “on”, we eventually figured out that we had to leave the light switch on, and had to turn off the lamps with it’s own switch. That kept our receptables on and phones charging. This condo could really be a great place to rent; however, it needs a little TLC.

Stay in Steamboat

We rented this house with our friends to mountain bike and play in a volleyball tournament. The beds and pillows in both rooms were not great. The second room bed didn't have a box spring at all so we were sleeping on 2 inches of memory foam on top of the springs. The place itself is comfortable but it's really close to a VERY busy street with lots of road noise and construction vehicles. It was hot at night and we put a box fan in the window only to discover 2 of the blades were broken off so the fan was unusable. The pool was nice for the kids to use and the kitchen was nice and well stocked with what we needed.

PROPERTY WAS NEW LISTING AND NEEDED TO CHECK SOME THINGS BEFORE LISTING - ONLY 1 FAN FOR A 3 BEDROOM

CUTE & CLEAN BUT NEEDED TO CHECK AVAILABILTY OF FANS, BURNED OUT LIGHTBULBS, STAIR WELL DARK AND DIRTY GOING UP TO CONDO.STAFF WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND WILL PROBABLY GET THINGS WORKED OUT.
