Shellrock Cabin with Columbia River View

Hello and welcome to Shellrock Cabin, part of the Nelson Creek Cabin vacation rentals! Our cozy cabins are nestled on 2 quiet acres with views of the Columbia River and surrounding Cascade mountains. Skamania Lodge, Bridge of the Gods, Mt. Hood, Dog Mountain, Multnomah Falls, White Salmon, Hood River and Portland are just a few close destinations. Plenty of parking for boats and RV's. Shellrock cabin is a cozy and comfortable place where you can escape, relax and unwind in this beautiful setting. Within a few miles, you will find golf courses, brew pubs, restaurants, farmer's markets, shops, waterfalls, wineries, kite boarding, wind surfing, stand up paddling, sailing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and numerous other recreational adventures. Portland and its airport is a easy 45 minute drive. Enjoy the Columbia Gorge Interpretative Center, Maple Leaf Events, Blues and Bluegrass weekend festivals, Skamania County Fair, local parks, Beacon RockState Park, Maryhill, White Salmon, and Hood River Wineries.

This was the BEST place we ever stayed with VRBO.Libby the owner and her husband were absolutely wonderful hosts constantly staying in touch with us. We had a Wedding in Stevenson and like Libby said we were central to everything and yet secluded amongst the most beautiful scenery you can imagine!! The cabin was extremely clean, with a little porch that was charming. We would stay there again without any reservations. Loved it !!!!

Our host, Libby introduced herself shortly after we checked in. The property was immaculate and well stocked. The mattress was very comfortable enabling a good night sleep. The view of the mountains and the Columbia River are quite lovely and a visit by a herd of elk was a highlight in the early morning. If you walk the field, you quickly discover that elk are frequent visitors. I highly recommend this location to explore the many waterfalls off of Route 30, visiting Mount Hood and the many Orchards on what's known as the fruit loop along the Hood River. We had a delightful time spending two nights on our five week cross country journey from the east coast. I highly recommend this VRBO for couples.

We were out in the area for a short time. Cabin was great. Perfect for our needs. Close to many trails and in between 2 towns. Nice view. Hosts were awesome, left us snacks. I would stay again, but it is a small, 3 peeps is too many perfect for 2.

Can't beat The Gorge!

My husband and I had a relaxing stay at the Shellrock Cabin in Stevenson. The location is amazing - convenient to Stevenson, White Salmon/Bingen, Hood River and the valley, Cascade Locks, as well as Camas and Vancouver. It was quiet and peaceful, and the property is exactly as advertised. Libby was helpful and went beyond expectations in accommodating a special request.

What a beautiful space! The sunrises and sunsets here are just spectacular, and the lay of the land and location of the cabin provides the perfect vantage point. The cabin itself was very clean and comfortable, and the amenities provided were a very nice touch. I hope to be back again soon!
