Sunset at Reflection Canyon.

It is a 2 hour drive from Escalante on a dirt road where a AWD is highly recommended. However when we arrived at the parking lot area we couldn't believe that a Honda Fit would make it there, but there it was. :-)

From the parking lot area it is a 5 hour hike (plus minus one hour, depends on your navigation skills) through the stony desert of southern Utah. The hike itself is already beautiful but the reward when you eventually arrive at Reflection Canyon is priceless.
We were the only two persons out there and we didn't even meet someone on our way back the next day.

Make sure you carry enough water as there is absolutely no water source anywhere. Also I think that this place can not be found without a GPS but I was wrong with the Honda Fit before, too. ;-)

Because of the way the sun lights up the canyon as it retreats, this is one of my favorite places to end a day of #adventure .

Canyonlands National Park has held a huge piece of my heart since the very first day I set eyes on it... It rivals the Grand Canyon with it's expansive views that go on for days!

This past September Daniel, my photographer proposed to me on an overlook in Canyonlands, not unlike this one. 😍

One of my favorite parks, and this is my favorite place in that park.

Double Arch is a close-set pair of natural arches, one of the more known features of Arches National Park in Utah, United States. From the Double Arch parking area it's a 0.5 mile (0.8 km) round trip to the arches.[1] There are no guardrails or fences to prevent visitors from exploring directly beneath and through the arches.

The area was used as a backdrop for the opening scene of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, in which the arches are briefly visible. However, the cave shown in the movie does not exist.
Canyon X is a stunning slot canyon that you can only get to from http://www.overlandcanyontours.com not too far from Page and Antelope Canyon. There are no crowds compared to Antelope and get to spend the morning with a guide that knows exactly when the light is good in each of the sections. #BestOf5
