About the home
"Sunderland Retreat" is a lovely home with stunning water views, close to the beach in Sunderland Bay. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs you will find the open plan living with a sizeable kitchen, dining, and living area (with TV and Chromecast). Bedrooms 2 and 3 are downstairs, along with the laundry (including a second refrigerator), main bathroom (with free-standing bath & shower), and a separate toilet.
Upstairs is the master bedroom, complete with en-suite (including rain shower head and toilet), walk-through robe, and private side balcony. There is also a second living area (with new smart 50" TV and Chromecast) which seamlessly opens out onto a large balcony with scenic views.
Outdoor Areas
The lovely upstairs balcony with seating for up to 8 people provides water views over Sunderland Bay to Pyramid Rock, and there is a downstairs covered deck area (with BBQ and more seating for up to 8 people). The electric heated 6 person spa (with moderate jet functionality as of March 2024) and the fully enclosed rear yard, complete with a hammock, provides an amazing opportunity to relax in style.
The double garage has been converted into a games room, complete with table tennis, foosball, air hockey, darts, sofa and coffee table.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso pod coffee machine, etc., plus a sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top. There is also a second full sized fridge in the laundry.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners in both the downstairs and upstairs living rooms. There are also ceiling fans and wall mounted heaters in bedroom 1 and 2, plus a mobile heater and fan for use in bedroom 3.
Bedroom Configuration:
This home has 4 beds, plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Tri-bunk bed
There is also a double divan/sofa bed in the upstairs living room, suitable for one adult or child.
Please note: The Tri-bunks have a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
