We forgot an item in the fridge. We called to request to keep it for us. We rang early enough 11am so that the room is not cleaned. We physically went back just to find out the cleaner threw the item away. They could have called us back and let us know. Bad customer service. The location is bad and no car park available even to just off load the luggage. We will not stay there again.

I have to chamge room because in the first the blackout curtain had a gap and did not protect against street light. The second room there was not milk in the fridge. In both bedrooms were not sound proof as could hear all noise from outside.

This property was easy to central to where we wanted to be. No parking out front or on property and staff suggested local shopping centre. Arundel St, 4 mins walk away had free parking on Sunday only which was fine for us. Hotel room was basic and clean, no windows to the outside but fine for price. Staff were helpful and it was quiet. I’d stay there again.

The hotel looks very cheap. Central air conditioning had different smells during the stay. No windows. No desk. No garbage cane in the room. Door was locked when we got there. We had to keep knocking to get someone to open the door,

Staff were excellent, polite patient and kind. Room was cool, clean, quiet and comfortable. The streets were very dirty but that is just Sydney in most places. As soon as you open the door to the reception desk, it was very clean and welcoming. Will be back again.

Confusing and disappointing

I was very confused by the website's vague approach to the parking availability. "Parking available" meant a tiny spot at the back, if available, then walk around the block back to reception, or parking at the Broadway shopping centre for $46 a day. When I rang from my car I was answered very nicely but not helpfully and the second time told that Reception would ring me, which they never did. Having found the tiny car park I walked around to the reception where I was greeted very nicely but confusedly. My payment couldn't be found as I booked through Hotels.com but they were looking for an Expedia payment. The amount on my credit card differed from my receipt, which was in US$. I ended up paying again, then, when it came to get a refund it had to be done in 2 goes as they have a $200/d limit. The staff were uniformly lovely but the system was cumbersome and confusing. There was no a/c in the room and the facilities were basic (a mini fridge, a kettle). The bed was comfortable, it was clean, and the bathroom was adequate only.

Overcharging hotel

Convenient location but pity about the service and fact it is poorly run. Pity reception is do large but rooms are so small. Consider re doing reception as no breakfast is served per their signage. Small room with no window for $400? I requested a room with window but they said only double bed has that so does that mean those travelling and require separate beds never get a window room ? Yet the beds are on wheels - it also costs $40 more for a window. Breakfast contained a packet of cereal, boxed orange juice and boxed milk - not 15 worth. Had to keep asking for breakfast box, had to keep asking for new towels and asked for toilet paper - indicative that there is no customer service or being aware that these are just basic automatic. People on reception appeared to do nothing and were obviously bored. A doona is merely covered by a sheet as they do not have a doona cover. Sheets are done terribly - either tucked in so tight one cannot move or in pulling out the sheets - all sheets and doona fall to the floor. The constant internal sound of the heating temperature all day and night is enough to drive anyone mad.Given the above the room was worth $89 not $400. Good location though.
