Smoky Hideaway ‱ 2Bed 2Bath Cabin ‱ Near Bike Trail

Looking for a peaceful retreat? Come stay at “Our Smoky Hideaway”, a newly built chalet style cabin on the "Peaceful Side of the Smokies" right in the heart of Townsend, TN. We are located 200 ft from the Townsend bike trail, within walking distance of local restaurants, and 5 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park entrance. The visitors center is less than 1 mile from the cabin - a perfect distance to local festivals and events!

About the Cabin:

The cabin features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plus a loft with 2 twin beds. The main level features a bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full sized bathroom. It also boasts an open concept living room, dining room, kitchen with a loft. The living room has a Smart TV so log into your favorite app or enjoy free YouTubeTV during your stay. The upstairs open loft features 2 twin sizes beds, a perfect space for the kids! The lower level features an open concept sitting area with adjoining king sized bed and a full sized bathroom. The bathroom features a walk in shower, vanity, and access to a full sized washer and dryer.

The cabin boasts two large decks. The upper deck features a grill and outdoor dining area and the lower deck features a sitting area.

About the Area:

Townsend is a quaint town with local restaurants, coffee shops, and hosts many festivals throughout the year. Enjoy a swim or tube in The Little River, embark on a nature walk, bike the town trails, or take a short drive to the beautiful Foothills Parkway. The Smoky Mountain National Park entrance is a quick 5 minute drive from the cabin and is near the Cades Cove side of the Smokies. Townsend is a short drive from Wears Valley, 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge, and offers a scenic 45 minute drive to Gatlinburg through the National park.

The cabin is a great home base for exploring the Smokies and Foothills Parkway. Townsend's multiuse path is right down the hill from the cabin. We walked to dinner several nights - the path is safe and well-lit. The cabin is spotless and the hosts thought of everything! We can't wait to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Smoky Hideaway. The hosts communicated in a timely manner and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. The cabin looks even more amazing in person, was immaculate, everything was in working order and the cabin itself was very well maintained. It is located in an ideal location, close to the local grocery store and several restaurants as well as park locations such as Cades Cove. Given the location in Wear’s Valley, it would be easily accessible in winter with no steep or narrow roads to navigate. We would definitely return for a future stay and would have no issues recommending this cabin to anyone who desires a quiet, clean, comfortable stay in ideal location.

The owners were extremely accommodating and very easy to communicate with. Everything was very clean. Having the second cabin next door was perfect for our group so we could be separate but together. The kitchen was a little small for our group but we made it work. Our only observation was the couch and chair in the living room were extremely soft with not much support if you have back issues and the downstairs bed was the same so if you need firm, this would not be the place for you. I do not know about the other beds as I did not try them out. Other than that, enjoyed our time very much.

Convenient, comfortable and clean. Well-stocked kitchen and games selection. Well thought out collection of items ranging from throws to dishes. Hosts were very responsive. Close to paved pathway circling Townsend and location on dead-end road provided best of both worlds. Even though you can hear the traffic from the parkway, it did not drown out the songbirds nor scare away the passing bear

Quiet family getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Townsend, TN! It was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family of six. The hosts provided clear, detailed information that made check-in and departure smooth and stress-free. Townsend was ideal for all of our kids, ages 8-18. Anytime we had a question, the hosts responded quickly and helpfully. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great location and beautiful cabin!

The cabin was in a great location that was easy to find and had plenty of parking space available. The cabin was absolutely beautiful with great Amish workmanship and was very clean. We have stayed in many cabins over the past 18 years, and this cabin was by far one of the best ones we have stayed in. It was the perfect size for our family and was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The owner was very responsive and quickly resolved our slight issue with the internet not working after a thunderstorm had passed through and the power had gone out momentarily. There were plenty of restaurants and shops in the Townsend area, and the drive to Pigeon Forge was short enough that we made several trips back and forth. We will definitely stay here again on our annual trip to Tennessee.

Spectacular Cabin in the City
