This property will take you back in time and is truly one of a kind. Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle, you'll find this private wilderness retreat!
Enjoy endless hours of fun on your very own private beach, then come in and relax with all the comforts of home. Excellent swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Our one-mile trail around Twin Lake is great for families and perfect for guests who love mountain biking, hiking, trail running, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. No motorized boats or vehicles of any kind or horses allowed.
Inside, the decor is vintage and offers guests the basic essentials. The home sleeps 4 guests between two nice-sized bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a queen-sized bed, dresser, and closet. The second bedroom has two twins, two dressers, and a closet. The living room has a pull-out couch and the large picture window lets in lots of light with amazing lake views. The kitchen has everything you need to make three square meals, plus additional serving wear for holidays, and a propane outdoor grill. The dining room seats five, plus there is additional seating on the three-season porch. Smart tv, books, games, and a DVD player are provided.
Important to Know:
- Only the lower part of the vintage oven works.
- The wood-burning stove is ornamental only.
- No wifi, but great cell service for your hotspots.
- 1 rowboat is available for guest use. Boat is stored outside, so it will have leaves and debris on it.
- No motorized boats or commercial boat rentals are allowed on either lake.
- No aquatic hitchhikers allowed! All kayaks, rafts, and sand toys must be rinsed off prior to use in the water.
- No live minnows for fishing bait.
- There is a marked, color-coded trail system that guests can use to help explore our vast acreage.
- There is no washer and dryer on site!
- We provide a very basic supply of towels and bedding. Guest are encouraged to bring their own supplies from home to make themselves as comfortable as possible.
Rental Policy:
- No smoking or fireworks are permitted.
- No events, parties, or large gatherings are permitted.
- Minimum booking age is 25.
- One dog (1) is okay upon approval. No oversized or dangerous breeds. Pets are not permitted to be left alone for long periods of time. No pets on furniture.
- We have partnered with Safely to provide rental property damage protection for all reservations.
Guest Access:
This property features self-check-in. Check-in after 10 pm is not permitted. Check-in instructions are sent after completing our guest check-in form. The home's property address will also be sent separately 72 hours prior to check-in.

Other Things to Note:
Guests are provided with a small amount of essentials, including paper towels, toilet paper in each bathroom, laundry pods, dish pods, dish soap, hand soap, and basic cleaning supplies.
CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS:
âąNovember-April: Set the heat/thermostat to 55 degrees and close the blinds.
âąMay-October: Shut off everything and close the blinds.
âąStrip beds (not mattress pads) and pile all sheets and towels on the floor near the washer.
âąDispose of food and trash.
âąPut all trash in the garbage bin. Trash instructions are noted in your Guest Guide Link.
âąPut patio cushions back. (If applicable.)
âąWashed, dried, and put away dishes.
âąTurn off lights.
âąLock the door.
