Great location but very limited food options given the grill closes early so you’re left with the inn for dinner with no reservations until at least 9pm so book before you go. Inn has ok food. Limited seating due to low staff but that’s based on current us administration. No info ahead of time that you need to go to the reservations building to check in , which doesn’t have a sign for ‘check in’ so must stop there first. No service but you’ll find this is one park where you won’t get service anywhere so know route before you go.

room was clean. staff was friendly. very few dining options. bring your own food and water, like camping. we were there end of the season, lake view was fantastic. stayed in Deer Lodge, great view of the night sky.

Best thing about this place was the way out. Receptionist rude and droll on check in. No information given. Room dirty and smelled. No room to swing a cat. Dusty, smelly, no AC, noisy kids running around outside and walls paper thin. Don’t get me started about dinner. There was about 10 empty tables but we waited 45 minutes to be seated. I even informed the waiters I was T1 diabetic and needed some food and they didn’t seem to care! We were told we could sit at the bar - didn’t know if I was sat in my laundry cupboard or at a hotel bar? Very small and poky with no view. We waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive thank god it was average atleast. Never stay here - glad it was only for 1 night.

Yellowstone Grant Village

Missed the booking info saying no AC but fan was provided and it cooked down at night. Also didn’t realize there are several lodge buildings and 2nd floor is only accessible by 2 flights of stairs. Husband had to bring up everything because I have mobility issues. An alarm went off and on outside most of the night. My husband thinks it may have been a septic system issue alarm. Also registration is a stand alone building without the lodge name on it. Only says Registration and many campers mistake it for their registration area but it is only for lodges. Tiny shower with very small shower head and there is no hair dryer.

Okay stay inside Yellowstone National Park

It would have been helpful knowing beforehand that you need to check in at the Registration building and that it is not one big lodge, but several smaller lodges. We drove around for a while until we decided to go into the Registration building and ask. Our room was not as clean as we would like it to be, mainly the bathroom. You need to make reservations for dinner at the restaurant, but breakfast and lunch, you do not need one. Be aware, if you are on the ground floor, the people above you sound like elephants running around.

The room was good but there was a lack of outlets to plug into to charge your devices. No air conditioning but that was ok it was cool outside so our room cooled quite easily over night. We had a good stay and the location was great for where we wanted to be in the park.
