(B107) Studio Condominiums
Our studios have fully equipped kitchenettes, with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. Our studios also offer dvd player, with a free videotape library, river rock propane fireplaces, and private outdoor decks with electric barbeques. A studio is perfect for mom, dad and a couple of children. We do not recommend a studio for four adults! Please be advised: sofa beds are only acceptable for small children, not for adults, as they are uncomfortable for adults, so we will not guarantee a good night's rest on them.
Located high on top of a mountain at an elevation of 6,000 feet, this 48 unit condominium complex not only offers you great mountain and forest views, but also offers you a great location to start your day from, just minutes to all the main attractions! Our condominiums come in two configurations, studios and lofts. All units come completely furnished and fully equipped with everything you'll need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Do you have internet access at any of your home properties? Yes but very limited! Only a few of our home properties have recently been able to receive Internet access. Due to our remote location, and the fact that most of our properties are surrounded by tall Yosemite pine and cedar trees, it makes it almost impossible to receive clear satellite signals, cable isn't available yet in our community. The system we currently have is a satellite based Internet system, and is vulnerable to adverse weather conditions, therefore we cannot guarantee Internet connectivity during your stay.
This is a wonderful location to stay!! Right in the middle of Yosemite. The condo is a very nice studio, clean, well maintained.
It would have gotten 5 stars for sure , except the mattress was terrible.
It is just a cheapie , uncomfortable mattress.
Skillets weâre non stick that were in very poor condition, need to be replaced.
A minor investment in the mattress and kitchen ware would make such a difference.
I would love to return here sometime soon to explore Yosemite even more, hope you can upgrade your mattress?
Small studio was cozy for two. We stayed during Memorial Day holiday, parking was crowded (but then, so is the whole park). Bed and pillows were clean, and comfy after long hikes! Plenty of clean towels and soap. No hairdryer but a quick call to front desk, they delivered one right away. Kitchen was great for making coffee, eggs and toast, and pots for spaghetti. Grilling chicken on BBQ was nice! Thereâs a big fridge in a corner pantry room. Suggest to bring meat, cooking oil, spices and aluminum foil as nearest store is 12 miles back at El Portal Market. Selections were limited but got frozen chicken, meat and some fresh vegetables. No AC but fireplace was much needed on that cold rainy Friday! TV only had 3 channels but we didnât care. However, WiFi is spotty. Ice machine around hallway were handy to ice those knees after a long hike!
We were very happy with this place. We are a family of four so it was tight but manageable.
What we liked:
1)It was clean and stocked with everything you would expect.
2)The front door lock has an electronic combo pad so no keys or cards to hassle with.
3)The furniture was mostly comfortable (more below)
4)Parking was easy and convenient
5)Shower had good water pressure, never ran out of hot water, and adjustable shower head
6)Nice balcony with view.
7)Cooked dinner on bbq on balcony every night.
8)Excellent location. Nice and peaceful compared to the super crowded valley.
What we didn't like:
1)No air conditioning. Hot at night even with windows open made it hard to sleep. (The weather was mild. 70's in the day, 50's at night). Better the second and third nights with the portable fan blowing.
2)Some of the balcony floorboards were flimsy and really flexing. I felt like I might break through (I weigh 200). I think someone replaced old rotten boards but used wood that was too thin/strong.
3)Beds not really comfortable as expected. We brought a thick comforter to use as a pillow top for the queen mattress and our kids slept on the floor with inflatable mattresses. Not so bad.
4)Walls are thin. We had good neighbors so it wasn't really a problem.
We would recommend this place and return for another visit.
