IMPORTANT: We do not accept third party bookings. The person whose name is on the reservation must be staying at the property.

We no longer accept dogs or any pets, no exceptions.

Pricing is $390.00 base price for up to 2 guests. $40.00 per night for each additional guest per night after the first 2 guests. Children under age 3 stay free, 10% discount on one week stays. (Please let us know if any of your children are aged 3 and under when you fill out the inquiry form.) Minimum stay of 2 nights.

Minimum age of primary renter: 25.

INTERNET AND CELL SERVICE: we have Starlink wifi but no satellite TV (though we do have a DVD library), because trees around the house block satellite reception from the South sky. Wifi speed may sometimes be affected by trees around the house. There is spotty cell service in Yosemite West.

Yosemite West is inside Yosemite National Park. It is a 25-35 minutes drive to Yosemite Valley attractions, 30 minutes to Glacier Point and 30 minutes to Mariposa Grove and Wawona. This is also the closest lodging for Badger Pass Ski Area, with downhill and cross country skiing and snowshoeing - only eight miles away from your door.

This Yosemite West home is located close to the Glacier Point Road, so you are very close to Taft Point and Glacier Point, the most spectacular views of Yosemite Valley.

This house sleeps a maximum of 8 - 10 people. Please note if you have a larger group that this house has 1 1/2 bathrooms, and only 1 shower. If you prefer 2 showers, please check out our other Yosemite West rental cabin, the Hummingbird Pines House (VRBO 470093).

The Hummingbird Raven House has a spacious deck high in the trees which is a wonderful place to eat dinner and enjoy the sunset.

Please note that our house has a spiral staircase which may be difficult for elderly folks and small children. Our other Yosemite West vacation home, the Hummingbird Pines House (VRBO 470093) is more suited to elderly guests as it has only 2 steps into the house and bedrooms on the ground floor.

If our cabin and Yosemite are accessible, we do not cancel, modify, or refund reservations based on smoke, which is a very common occurrence in Yosemite each summer. This policy is consistent with most vacation rentals in Yosemite West.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and a half bath. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms, with a queen size bed and four bunks. A convertible sofa-bed in the office sleeps 1 to 2 more guests. Note: we cannot accommodate more than 10 guests at a time.

This house is equipped with a full kitchen and a large dining table. There is a bbq and dining furniture on the deck, which is a wonderful place to enjoy dinner and watch the sunset.

Air conditioning is individually controlled through a mini-split system controlled by remotes in each room. Our location is 6,000 feet of elevation, so generally is cooler than Yosemite Valley.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Please empty all dishes from the dishwasher and put them away.
Put trash inside the bear-proof box on the front porch AND MAKE SURE IT IS SECURELY CLOSED, or leave your trash bagged in the kitchen. Don't leave the box unlocked or leave trash bags beside it.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

Please close the barbecue when not in use, and do not leave food, trash or dirty dishes on the deck as both will attract bears.
Please make sure all windows and doors are closed when you leave the house as bears will enter the house through open windows.

Wiped the dining room table and the towel was black when fininshed. Downstairs bedroom - It is listed as a three bed room two bath. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one down stairs. The bedroom downstairs has a toilet and a sink, no tub or shower. (It is actually a 1 bath room and half bath. There is one shower and one tub all up stairs). The lights over the sink were burned out and and three of the six lights in this bedroom ceiling were burned out.The rail outside is broken and there is no light when coming in after dark. The picture on the website shows a actual stair case it is a spiral stair case. Not good for seniors and should be specified in the description.They supplied shampoo but no soap or body wash.We paid for two nights but left after one.

We loved the location. The deck was nice and the neighborhood was convenient and quiet. A couple of things that might have impacted our rating: 1) all the light bulbs need to be replaced and upgraded with LED..you can't see to do everything. Even the fluorescent in the kitchen has burnt bulbs, 2) the furniture was extremely uncomfortable and so were the beds...the tiredness of the furniture was not the issue if you come home exhausted from hiking you want some comfort either to sit or sleep...updating would a go along way including the DVD collection haha..thanks for the stay. Just trying to be constructive.

The houses over all cleanliness was not the best. Appliances all very clean but rest of house shelf’s and cabinets were not clean in kitchen. Cabinets hinges loose and carpet dirty. Many lights did not work. House would have been fine with a little extra cleaning and maintenance.

Awesome stay!

We had a great stay at the Hummingbird Cabin! Its proximity to the Yosemite Valley was awesome, amenities were great (updated appliances and AC in all bedrooms), and the place was cozy and comfortable. Dining on the deck was incredibly enjoyable and access to the park was super easy. Thanks for a great stay!

The property was in such a great location of the park- equal distance to glacier point, down to the Yosemite village area, and mariposa grove. The hosts were very kind and responsive and sent lots of recommendations in the area. Check in was easy and straight forward. Kitchen had all of the basics for cooking - tons of glassware and cooking pots/pans. Outdoor deck was super nice and we loved having grill access! We had a few minor complaints- the outlets were loose and could not hold any plugs, master bedroom had a half bath with no privacy and the vanity didn’t work, spotty WiFi, toilet seat in main bathroom should be replaced as outer seal is worn off in places. Would have liked a coffee table in main area. AC and heat were great and beds were good too

Beautiful, comfortable, close to Yosemite destinations!

Great place to stay within Yosemite’s borders. Comfortably housed our family of 7 for a week. You will love the tranquility and closeness to all of Yosemite’s beauty! One word to the wise: stock up before you arrive, the nearest large grocery store is an hour away, but if you are like us, the closeness to nature is why you are even considering this beautiful property!!! A wonderful stay in every way!

Great location to main attractions: 25-30 minute drive to Yosemite Valley, Wawona, Glacier Point. Nice comfortable cabin for a family or group. Was there during the week and it was very quiet area. Inside the park, so no need to exit and make insane line to get back in.

Great location inside the park. Not far from the tunnel into Yosemite and glacier point. There were many issues in the house maintenance wise though. For the price we paid, we didn’t expect to have so many problems.

The property was clean. Simplistic. A bit aged and worn. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances one would need. Everything was convenient and met our needs other than no internet connection and no sponges or brushes to facilitate cleaning up in the kitchen. The downstairs master lacks a shower or bath, and there is a small spiral staircase to the second floor where the full bath and other rooms are located. The stairs are rather slippery and need a non slip pad, especially jf one is only wearing socks. The house requires you to bring your own soaps and shampoo for the bathroom. Previous guests have left some pantry items as the host foes not iffer any. The setting was pleasant among the trees in a neighborhood setting with houses near by. We were about a half hour from Yosemite valley, an easy drive. Heating and air in each room worked well once we figured that out. The home could use guest instructions since without the internet, VRBO access was non existent.

Trip was perfect but house had no lock on patii door so, not secure. And carpeting and supplied towels and cooking supplies need to be in a landfill. Rot on bottom of microwave left it unusable for safety reasons. I see 2 years ago someone complained about the rusty microwave and people keep using it? Over all felt pretty gross for what we paid.

Hot temps in Yosemite

We had great clean cabins. Unlucky for us - the temps demanded some AC and we had none. I know this is not normal for this area. Also we were there with multiple family members - 6 cabins in all and were a little too far apart in this very mountainous area to do family well. No cell or WiFi made our plans for dinner and sharing time a bit more difficult and the house phone never worked. I loved the clean and wonderful cabins but would probably not book again for these reasons. Thank you to Michelle for helping us book this time together and for her responses to all our questions. I would recommend this to a single family who did not need to communicate with the outside world or to other cabins and during a cooler season. Very clean and very well maintained cabin, stocked with all the necessary items.

HOT

Yosemite NP is a fantastic place. This place is in a great location. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot outside and inside. I wish we could have gotten the temperature below 85 inside the house - but there was no relief. We enjoyed almost every area of Yosemite while there, easy access daily, already inside the park to minimize lines/waiting. We were up early each day and home late - so much to do in the park. Just wish we could have slept, but it was too hot.
