Park Dedeman Almaty
Restaurant provided an amazing breakfast and service. Didn't find the front desk staff overly helpful. There's a huge disconnect with the Spa on property. Not well communicated.

Grand Hotel Eurasia
Staff was helpful and room was relatively clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to food and stores. The room did not have a window though and the transport from the airport mentioned in the description of the hotel does not exist.
