Authentic taste of how locals live

This place is just a gem. And the host is absolutely amazing and accommodating. It is a little tricky to find, but it is the staircase across from the bus stop. This is a traditional style apartment for the area and you really do feel like a local staying there, especially with the traditional garden there. Lovely view of the ocean while sitting among a tangle of garden. While it is a bit of a drive to Amalfi, proper, because the bus stop is across the street, it is stupid easy to get into Amalfi proper. The host even provided us with a fist bus ticket to make it easier. The bus stop outside the apartment is the one end of the route and Amalfi is the other. So no worrying about where you need to get off or how to get back. Plus, it is a beautiful and slightly exciting ride both ways. BTW, the fig cutting is rooting nicely. Thank you!

The place is very difficult to find. We were never able to meet Barbara. You are only able to text her. Rosario mentioned store was a 10 minute walk. It was actually 20 minutes away with a grueling walk back. We had a difficult time with the door lock until I greased it. We did not have a working long lighter for the stove. My friend used the only available cigarette lighter to light the stove and she burned her hand. The light in downstairs bedroom did not work and the shower would flood. The residence neighbor is that very nice . There is an extra tax you need to pay at the end of your stay you are not told about.

"Traumhafte Ferienwohnung in mehr als 400 m Höhe mit wunderschönen Meerblick , abseits vom touristischen Rummel, bei guter Sicht mit Blick auf Capri. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympathisch und hilfreich. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und funktionel eingerichtet. Wonderful house about 400 m over the coastline with wonderful sea view (with Capri during good weather periods) Barbara and Rosario are very helpful and sympatic persons"
