If you are looking for something off the beaten path, this is a perfect place. The building has a character due to a combination of old and new features and plenty of art (paintings and sculptures) throughout the building. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, providing helpful tips on what tourist attractions to see when in order to avoid the crowds. Typical Greek breakfast was delicious and filling. You can walk to the subway Omonia station in 5-7 minutes and 15-20 to the Monastiraki Square. Unfortunately, you will see some homeless encampments on your way and dumpsters in alley ways, but that is common for any big city. For the cleanliness I'm giving it only 4 starts due to the bathrooms - ours could really use some bleach around the tub. But overall, very happy with the stay in a very convenient location for a reasonable price.

challenging stay

this was tough. Not a terrible room but it’s a very challenging area, a lot of people doing drugs definitely not a great place for kids. we just took a taxi anytime we had to leave but it was hard to get taxis and hard for the people to call for a taxi. The lights in the bathroom went through the wall where there were exposed wires Seemed quite dangerous. The person upfront was really nice

The hotel is dilapidated, the blinds were old and broken, the seal around the bath wasn't stuck down. The mattress cover was a duvet!!! The silver in the wash hand basin has peeled off and the two chairs were plastic. Overall it was a dump, in it's hay day it was probably a nice hotel but it hasn't been maintained which is a shame. We were due to spend another night after our cruise but I cancelled it and booked another hotel as there was no way I was going to stay there another night, even if it was free.

Below average hotel in a super bad area, lots of drug addicts all over. Parking is two blocks away. Room was old with AC that made noises all night long.

Staff was nice , friendly, my room was cleaned every day. However the fridge in the room wasn't working, not enough toiletries, plus it was very noisy. The area around hotel is very sketchy, many homeless, drug users around

Not sure how Expedia rated this a 4* hotel. Google maps rated it a 1*, which would be far more accurate. The minibar fridge didn't work. There are no coffee making facilities in the room, although the description didn't state that there would be. There was no info sheet about the hotel, and no instructions for the safe. These are things that would be standard in a 4*. I guess the 1* price should have given the game away.
