Pros: The location was excellent and the hotel was very nice and felt relatively new. Cons: The bar was closed on friday and Saturday night. When we asked why, we were told the person staffing it was sick. We decided to stay a second night. The front office told us we could book on-line and he would be sure everything was set up for us to stay in the same room. We left to go shopping and on or return we were locked out of our room. The hotel receptionist said they had forgotten to get things set up. These are the small things you take for granted at a well managed hotel.The iron was also broken .

Location not what expected but stay was fine

The check-in clerk was very nice and apologetic that they did not have key cards available so we waited until he found one for each of our rooms. My expectation was set higher than what we experienced. I had thought the hotel was closer to the Avalon shops than it is, so the price of our stay was not aligned with my expectation. That said, the room was clean. I loved the shower having both an overhead and hand held option. The bed was very comfortable, and the inclusion of excercise equipment in the room was interesting. I would not likely stay again for a vacation, but it would be a great choice for a business stay. Nothing wrong with the Even. I just had different expectations than I would have if I had more thoroughly researched the hotel location.

great hotel

this is our 5th time stopping at Even Avalon, we love it, convenient for stopping in between places we live going to, awesome staff and breakfast; the only thing we have noticed in the few years we have been staying is the cost of parking is not good, we stopped when it was free originally and the qr codes never work with getting codes from text, the other thing we are not keen on is the jump in the deposit required from $50 to $100 hmmm

Very private and quiet hotel. Front desk staff was very friendly and the bartender was very nice. My room was clean stayed comfortably cool during my stay. Thank you for the safe, refrigerator, and coffee maker. I felt right at home there for 2 nights. I'll definitely be back.

Overall Pretty Good

I really wanted to love this hotel. It really is overall pretty good! But, for a wellness hotel it’s missing some marks on sound sleep which is essential for wellness. Blue light alarm clock and AC pad, black light curtains that don’t close all the way, and a whistling mini fridge all disturbed our night. There’s also no insulation on the inside walls around the bathroom apparently because you can have full conversations while in the shower. Besides all that, the attendant was friendly, parking was cheap, and the rooms are cute and well-equipped.

Lovely room and staff! Only downside is they charge for parking. They said "oh it's so congested around here, we have to charge" and yet the parking lot was not even 1/4 full each night. That was not my favorite!
