Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
Tucked into the mountains, Aurora offers a peaceful, one-of-a-kind escape surrounded by nature. Unlike traditional homes, domes arenât completely sealed, so you may occasionally see a bug or two insideâespecially in spring and summer when crickets and other small insects are more active. We do regular treatments and thorough cleanings, but nature sometimes finds its way in. If youâre looking for pristine, hotel-style perfection, this may not be the right fitâbut if you love the outdoors and a touch of adventure, youâll feel right at home.
Our team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, though you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or other natural elements, depending on the season. Itâs all part of the mountain setting.
The property is reached by gravel, uneven, and winding roads. Most vehicles can access the dome without issue, but we recommend taking it slow, especially after rain or in winter. For added comfort, a 4WD/AWD vehicle with good clearance is ideal.
Wi-Fi is available, but due to the remote location, service may occasionally be slower or spotty. We suggest downloading any essential content in advance.
Thank you for understanding, and we hope you embrace the adventureâthis peaceful, scenic setting is exactly what makes Aurora such a special mountain escape!
Between exploring the unique features of our dome and enjoying the wooded, mountainside vista, Aurora is the perfect vacation spot. The property is adjacent to a 37-acre private nature preserve, with plenty of hiking trails and areas to explore.
In addition, youâre about 20 minutes away from nearly countless wilderness attractions, including whitewater rafting at Pleasantdaleâs Tearcoat Creek, lake swimming at Buffalo Gap Retreat in Capon Bridge, and hunting and fishing within the 400-acre forest of the Edwards Run Wildlife Management Area.

When we arrived we were a little disappointed in how close the neighboring places were but it turned out not to be a problem. There are lots of trees but they didnât have very many leaves so no shade. Small refrigerator but other than that we enjoyed it. It was a very unique place, it felt like you were sleeping outside.
1st we get there didnât get the lockbox code so I called they gave us a code it didnât work? Then was told i was at the wrong place ?? Which I wasnât ! Then they call back with another code it worked finally after 40 minutes of our arrival! Then the WiFi username & code didnât work spent 3hrs talking to them to resolve that issue ! So our 1st night was spent dealing with issues that we shouldnât have had too ! Then later that night the heat worked for about an hour & then it went out . I called they said weâll get our handyman to come out well we waited & waited . Then we go to cook on the grill outside & it didnât work ! Messaged & told them . He finally came out Saturday around 6:30pm so once again all day no AC or heat Saturday ! So he came out reset it said it may or may not stay on ? He did leave a small heater incase it went out ! Well it went out so once again no heat on our last night there . We woke up to it being 40â in the luxe ! We love the concept of the luxe & everything was clean & nicely decorated as well ! What we didnât like is the problems that we had to deal with on our 2 day vacation ! Everyone we spoke to was nice as well! We felt like we shouldnât of had to deal with all of this especially since it was a newer luxe ! Our weekend getaway turned very frustrating to say the least ! Especially after all the money we spent !
