"I recently spent two nights at the Holiday Inn in Vernon and wanted to share my experience. First off, I was not informed about the ongoing renovations when I booked my stay. While the noise was manageable since I was out most of the day, I think it’s important for hotels to notify guests about such work ahead of time. The room itself was quite nice and appeared new, but some finishing touches were lacking. For instance, the light fixture above the door was still hanging from the ceiling, and the bathroom needed grouting. These small details gave the impression of a rushed renovation. On a positive note, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a difference during my stay. However, I found the parking situation to be quite challenging at night; it was difficult to find a spot. The continental breakfast looked appealing, although I didn’t have the chance to try it. Overall, while there are areas for improvement…particularly in communication about renovations and room detail. My stay was made enjoyable by the friendly staff. I hope that once the renovations are complete, the hotel will enhance its overall guest experience."
