I did not love the area at night. I did not feel extremely safe walking in that alley at night. I was never able to get warm water from the shower. I ran into another guest that was staying there for 8 nights and said that he had contacted somebody about the water. They couldn’t find anybody to fix it right away. The rooms are decent size, but they don’t provide you with any blankets unless you ask for them. Unfortunately, the first night we were there, there wasn’t any staff on property. When the staff was there, they were pleasant.

There is no reception and finding and accessing the facility is stressful. One has to obtain an entry code online for two separate doors. Once in inside there were no blankets ( the explanation being that the weather is hot and there is no need for it). The night temperatures in September in Barcelona are in the low twenties so the traveller should decide the needs of blankets. The main problem is lack of hot or even warm or even lukewarm water. The feeble explanations on the phone - remember, there is no reception - sounded like mockery. Finally, we got warm water in the last two days ( out of seven) The only positive thing is the politeness and willingness to help of the cleaning personnel. In short, my recommendation is that Expedia disassociate itself from these premises

Because there is no actual desk to check in, it was a bit hard to find. Only a small sign with the hotel name on it. It is on a small side street that is a little sketchy. However, once we were inside the hotel was lovely. Rooms were clean and the courtyard outside, upstairs was awesome.

The property looks old from the outside, but it has been completely remodeled inside with modern decor and new fixtures. Big room and clean. The staff is very friendly (big thumbs up to Raul). There is a small elevator and common areas are clean and well supplied with tea, coffee and utensils. It is two blocks from Port Vell and MareMagnum Mall. Great walks and cafe’s, bars, and great restaurants. Also, three blocks to Las Ramblas. Great place to stay. My only quibble is that the hot water supply was uneven. If several guests are using it, you will get lukewarm water.

Horrible epxoetebce- avoid at all costs

Stay away from this place and stay away from hotels.com. So I prebooked this place after we finished our cruise. I started the checking the morning of 9/7 when we arrived back because there is no front desk. It wouldn't work because it had three adults on tge reservation even though another area listed two adults and two kids, which was correct. I emailed them around 9. We went to the property at this time and waited until 10 because another part says that the front desk open at 10. There was noone there and the door was locked. I waited until 11 and watching hotel prices climb booked another hotel so i wouldnt be left out in the street with my family. I got an email after 1230 that I should have just known to come to the property at 3 and absolutely refusing a refund. Hotels.com wont help you either. So im out over 200 bucks over this.

Great stay in Barcelona

From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The check-in process was quick, friendly, and seamless, setting the tone for the rest of my stay. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for comfort and convenience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

Beware, the area around the hotel is seriously unsecure and unsafe. We were mugged right in front of the hotel from somebody trying to steal a chain off of a neck. There was no help from the hotel. It took them two days to respond that they have no cameras. After speaking to the locals, they say this happens a lot the next night it was happening again and there was a woman running down the street screaming and no one was helping her be very careful if you stay here

Not a family hotel

The room is nice for couples only. No privacy for bathroom. Bath and bed all in one room w a glass divider. Check in is all online so pray you don’t have any issues. We sat in the lobby for 45 minutes waiting for a $22 charge and they would not release the room even though it was prepaid. Do not put name of hotel in gps because it will take you to a false address. Keys are antiquated which seems charming at first until you realize you can’t lock the door from the inside without the keep. So no one in your part can stay behind unless leave the door unlocked or lock them in and take the key. Very poor communication for everything here poorly marked outside on the street as well. Out of 10 days in Spain and 5 different hotels this was by far the worst. I would not stay here again.

This was probably the worst stay i’ve ever had. There was no disclosure that their reception computers magically stop working after 3pm, which is ironically the exact time they tell you to check in. Upon our arrival at our designated check in time, there was absolutely no staff only one lady that appeared to take on all roles in the facility (front desk, housekeeping, tech support, maybe even security?). When asking her for assistance, she dismissed us and told us our requests for a room that we had already pre paid for, was “not possible”. She proceeded to direct us to send our confidential documents to a random what’s app number for “check in assistance”. Then came the grand finale: a broken tax link that took nearly an hour to process one transaction of 11 euro which ended up being our determinant to receieving a room. All in all, check-in took over four hours which is honestly longer than my last international flight. Next time I want to feel stressed, ignored, and mildly scammed i’ll book with casa liro.
